  • 1. My friend loves this vet!

    by: Chokie

I take all my pets to other vet clinics, various ones in FM area, but ran into a woman that used to be a good buddy and she took their family dog here. She told me when they had to put their family member to sleep, the vet cried along with them. That's a good rating as far as I'm concerned.

  • 2. Solo Practice Provider Service with Cutting Edge Laser Surgery

    by: DebraMeow

I have been taking my cat menagerie to Diamond Q Animal Hospital for over 1 year. When I moved to Fargo, I went in search of a suitable vet. I like to walk into a vet clinic, and get a sense of the atmosphere, the staff, and the cleanliness of the facility. Nothing turns me off more than to walk into a vet clinic and smell the ammonia of pet urine. Yuck! I prefer to interview my prospective vets. I like to know where they studied and what experiences they have had with cats. With as many cats that I have, I will make many visits to the vet a year, and I need to feel comfortable with my vet. What I like about this clinic is that it has a solo practice with only one vet, and not a group practice. I hate having to go over medical history again with a different vet when I bring a cat in. My vet knows me, and he knows my animals. Dr. Quenette is one of the few vets in the area that uses lasers for his surgeries. He studied at Iowa State Univ., which has an excellent vet school. Use of lasers leads to less bleeding, fewer post-operative complications, and quicker healing and recovery times. Diamond Q is a relatively new clinic that opened in December 2006, but Dr. Quenette already has a very established clientele and is a very busy man. His clinic is light, bright, clean and has no odor. Dr. Quenette has great people skills, and can handle the most unruly dog or cat. If he isn't sure about something, he will offer to find out for me. (I wanted to get a multi-cat discount, but he does have a business to run, so I didn't get offered that.) Diamond Q Animal Hospital only provides vet service for cats and dogs. Sorry to those pet owners with birds, ferrets or other pocket animals. It does offer extended evening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays to accomodate working pet owners' schedules.

Personable and knowledgable staff, esp. the vet/owner

Wish had some Saturday hours a couple times a month to do wellness exams and vaccinations
