    by: poundpup1973

DFW has a very dedicated manager who is dedicated to saveing as many lives as possible. She goes above and beyond the call of duty this i know for sure since i worked with her from 1996-2004 the shelter couldnt ask for a better leader. \r\nAnd i belive the dfw has the best volunteers in the world. the shelter i am at now has very few volunteers and i so miss the dedication of the volunteers just coming and spending time with the animals. our animals get out maybe if someone is interested in adopting as to where dfw has ppl walking dogs all the time. wish we had more volunteers like dfw.

    Pros

    they are no kill

    Cons

    dont know any

  • 6. DFW Humane Society - No Kill Shelter

    by: reddogmarcy

This is a wonderful, loving shelter in sad shape. They are building a new shelter that won't be ready until 2009, but they do the best they can with what they have. They animals are well loved, clean and taken care of. Staff if friendly and will help you match the right pet for your personality and lifestyle. You get a lot for what you pay for in the adoption - shots, spay, microchip, vet check, and lots of goodies. Plus the staff knows the pets in and out. \r\n\r\nSupport this needy, no-kill shelter so they can keep doing the good they do until they get to their new place. Don't judge a book by its cover!

    Pros

Great selection of pets, loving environment, match pets to people

    Cons

Shelter in rough shape, they are trying to raise funds to build new one!
