We've taken our dogs to this clinic to see Dr. DeRycke for 4 years and although we just love her, we will NEVER set foot in their clinic again due to Dr. Davis. \r\n\r\nWe had Peaches in for a routine dental and Dr. Davis removed teeth that didn't need to be removed. Due to his lack of knowledge of her medical history, she ended up bleeding from her mouth for over 6 hours in spite of the 5 stitches he claimed to have put in. Her mouth is now permanently disfigured because of this. \r\n\r\nWhen Davis called us about how her procedure went, he never mentioned removing ANY teeth. We only found out because she was still bleeding profusely when we went to pick her up and because we insisted on speaking to him about why. He showed no concern or compassion for the needless suffering she endured because of him nor did he offer any viable suggestions for trying to stop the bleeding. Instead he suggested we lock her into a crate with a towel and "wait it out". Being that she's a 8 year old dog and only weighs 7 lbs, this was not an acceptable suggestion. \r\n\r\nIn our experience, Mark Davis has been rude, arrogant and condescending. He has no compassion for the animals he treats and very little actual ability. He is so terrified of a dog biting him that he's jumped back when they just LOOK at him - not growling, not threatening...just a curious look. Why he's even a veteranarian is completely beyond me. \r\n\r\nIf we could be certain that Dr. DeRycke is only one who'd ever touch our animals, we might consider staying with there, but we can't. When we booked this appointment, it was supposed to be with her, but for some unexplained reason, he took over. If I can't get service from the vet I prefer, I can't trust my animals there. And honestly, I don't want Dr. Davis getting another dime of my money. \r\n\r\nIf Dr. DeRycke leaves this practice, I'll be happy to go where ever she might go...but as long as she's with Dr. Davis, she's lost our business.
