  • 1. Great People, Great Clinic

    by: kelseylynn

This review may be slightly biased since I spent the summer working in the kennel department, but it has really opened my eyes to how great this clinic is. I was unsure of my opinion of the clinic until I started job-shadowing (which resulted in my being hired). The people who work there, I can promise you, LOVE animals. We spend every spare moment that we might have to love on the patients we care for. Whether that be snuggling with a patient recovering from surgery, or playing with the boarders or shelter animals that we have there. I can guarantee that your animal will be treated like one of their own. We spoil them as much as we possibly can, given our busy schedule! The downside to the clinic used to be the lack of up-to-date technology, but this year that all changed. The clinic invested in new digital x-ray technology, as well as better/faster blood machines. I wouldn't bring my pets anywhere else!

    Pros

    Friendly, animal-loving staff

    by: AimeeLovesDogs

Our dog has been a patient of the CCVC on and off for 7 years. The staff is friendly and they know what they're doing! My cat was also spayed here and the staff was wonderful. They called to give me updates and we were all very impressed. I'd recommend this clinic to animal owners that are looking for a vet.

  • 3. Great in helping with my dogs allergies

    by: jlvoght

CCVC is very outstanding when it comes to helping me with my dogs allergies. They don't make me come into the office to refill her scripts. The staff is friendly, and is very on task. Thank you all for all of your great help!!

    Pros

Very on task with my animals charts

    Cons

    Very busy sometimes understaffed

  • 4. Centrally Located

    by: crazyjolson

I have taken my cats and dogs to CCVC on and off for many years. I have gotten adequate care and adequate customer service most of the time. On occasion, I have come away feeling like I have been ripped off, since their office visit fees can be very high when you have 5 pets who come in for routine care. I sometimes feel it more of a "business attitude" than I would like: money and profit sometimes seem to be the guiding principles there.\n\nOn the flip side, I LOVE Dr. Cole, who is clearly there because of is love for animals. If i could guarantee I would see him every time, I would have very little reason to go elsewhere. \n\nThe main reason for my using CCVC (besides Dr. Cole) is that they are centrally located in Houghton, and gas prices are high enough without me having to drive out of my way for routine care. \n\nI would recommend CCVC for your routine care (annual shots etc) and emergency care when it is critical that you get care FAST) but if you have a more serious condition that is not urgent, and you want to have an in-depth discussion of diagnostic options and treatments and the pros and cons of each, then I would recommend Jeff Ladd at Keweenaw Veterinary instead.

    Pros

    Convienient Location

    Cons

    Business Atitude

  • 5. Great Emergency Care

    by: JBaumannINC

CCVC is great when it comes to emergency care and situations. They are always there to help and take care of the animals needs first.

    Pros

    Great for Emergency Care

    Cons

Not the best place for everyday problems

  • 6. CCVC is a great clinic

    by: mgmeyer

Copper Country Veterinary Clinic is a great group of people who know their stuff, care about your pet, and treat them well (and treat you well) while giving them the medical care they need.\n\nI have learned a lot from the vets there. And my dog is not afraid to go to CCVC!\n\n

    Pros

A great vet in the Keweenaw peninsula.

    Cons

    They're very busy.
