I highly recommend this cat rescue. The director, Laurie Walsh is totally committed to the rescue and care of all of the cats in the shelter. All of them are vetted, well fed, with clean cages and given love. I cannot say enough good things about CLAWS. If someone wants to adopt a cat or kitten, this is the place to go. gg

    Caring, responsible Staff

I give them an A+++ I visited this facility this past Saturday (2/16/08) to drop off a variety of donations. I was elated to meet with Laurie who knew every cat by name, along with his/her story. All of the cats were clean, happy, socialized and healthy. This is the shelter that I will devote my efforts to. Laurie handed me a flier for an 'All You Can Eat' Ham & Turkey Dinner fund raiser coming up on 3/1. I can't bring keep bringing new pets home all the time (or, can I??), but I said can help in other ways...sooo..See ya 3/1!!!

    A kitty haven

    by: AnnaBanna

CLAWS is a rescue that does everything in their power to save lives. I was helping the Sparta animal shelter when the town told us we had 1 week to find 22 cats homes. CLAWS stepped up and took some of our kittens and said they would take even more. I can't even tell you know much that meant to us with the time we were given. Thank you soooo much! Keep up the good work!\r\n\r\nCassie

    Very friendly!

    by: curly57

If you're looking to adopt a cat/kitten, this is the place to go. This shelter takes great care of these felines. Their health and daily care is Claws' uptmost priority. Their vet tested for diseases, up-to-date on shots and frontlined. They are spayed/neutered if they are of age.

    Non-kill shelter, only felines

I went in to adopt a kitten and ended up bringing home 2 very loving and playful kittens. I could tell right away that they were so well cared for and was amazed that such care and attention was given to each and every cat in this shelter. They rescue cats and kittens from the many towns in the county and are often filled to capacity. They have a very good adoption policy to ensure cats find good homes. They keep their adoption fees low even though the costs of care are about triple that amount. You can tell they are in this strictly for the cats. This is truly a non-profit, no kill shelter. I wish more people would help with either donations or volunteer time.

They never kill and care so much for each cat residing there

They are often filled to capacity and need more help
