  • 1. Don't take your pets here

    by: melanie345

I had to get rid of my cats because I developed an allergy. This shelter advertised as a no-kill shelter. I called today so I could drop off my cats and they said they couldn't guarantee the animal wouldn't be killed. I asked them if the animal was going to be killed, could I be contacted to pick them up? They told me no and that I had to go through the adoption process. Not only would I have to pay $55 per cat to drop them off, but I'd have to pay the adoption fee if I wanted them back. The lady told me to put an ad on Craig's list or flyers. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS SHELTER!!

  • 2. My Christmas present came from Christ-Yoder

    by: lisalou1961

My husband went looking for me a Christmas present as I lost my 18 year old best friend Jerry, a beautiful white American Shorthair. I lost him around Thanksgiving. My husband went to Christ-Yoder and was shown some kittens that had just been brought in. They did an excellent job of cleaning them up. Belle got her shots, micro-chipped. She also came with a bag of Science Diet kitten food and a coupon towards having her spade. Christ-Yoder does have a website that is kept up to date, and also has pictures in the newspaper. A very well run animal shelter.

    Pros

    micro-chip, shots, samples

    Cons

    Sometimes hours...are hard to reach
