I purchased a little pom from Vicki on Apr. 13, 2009. Vicki and I worked many years ago together in the health field in the Harrisburg area. We lost track of one another and then when my husband found her aid on-line we called to see her poms. Vicki has always been a very honest person from past experances so I know going into this purchase with her that I could trust her and that she truly cared about her puppies. The little male I purchased is a beautiful cream pom who at the age of 9 weeks weighed 2lbs 9oz. He has become a great addition to our home. I took him the my vet within five days of taking him home. Vicki had already given him his first shots and had dewormed him the day I picked him up. My vet after examing him said he was in a one condition. The vet also said I had purchased one of the nicest Poms she had seen in a very long time. I would personaly give Vicki and her Chewbacca Poms a FOUR STAR rating. If you are looking for a new addition to your home and you love poms please call vicki to get on her list for her next litter. Thank You so much for my little guy, Vicki! Pat

  • 3. The only place to get your dog groomed is with Vickie.

    by: Tabatha27

I got my 3 dogs from Vickie last month, two puppies and a two year old. Yesterday she drove to my house to groom the dogs, cut their nails and all. She did such a great job and she was so helpful because she even showed me what to do in case I want to groom them myself sometime. I found her information very useful because a lot of the stuff I did not know before hand. She showed the dogs so much love when she was here and we had great conversations. She truly is an honest trustworthy all around great person! The dogs were so happy to see her and that right there shows you how much she loves all of her dogs and how much she cares and spends time with them. So please take the time to call Vickie, set up a time and have your dogs groomed by her!

    Pros

Dogs look great, lots of love and attention

    Cons

    no cons.

  • 4. Good job

    by: theranddav

I have been training dogs for 20+ years. My dogs, minus Pickle, are all very well behaved. Vickie's dogs are almost as well trained as mine. I have witnessed her training methods and most seem to work very well. I would say her specialty is small dogs. She is a little soft with larger breeds that need more direction. But I am working with her on the harder breeds to train. I would trust her with my dogs at any time. If I need her help with my little ones she is always there! LAdy is a product of her rescues and she was sooooo easy to train and build on what Vickie had already done with her. She is a great trainer!

    Pros

    She loves all dogs

    Cons

    a little soft at times

  • 5. Love her!

    by: theranddav

My kids all have fairly short hair. Their grooming consists of bathing and nails. I have Vickie do their nails about once a month. She also has allowed me to bath my larger dogs at her house. She has a walk in shower that works great for them in the winter! Ranger will not let me cut his nails but lays quietly while Vickie does them. I love her and the way she makes my kids feel when she cares for them!

    Pros

    Does a great job

    Cons

    none

  • 6. Vacations

    by: theranddav

Everytime we go on vacation we call Vickie. For us it is a little different, as we live next door. She takes care of the kids while we are gone. She will come over and spend a couple hours with them. Play with them, brush them, and feed them. I am confident when I return they will all be in one piece and happy. Ranger has serious issues with me going anywhere. Since Vickie has started watching them, he has not been nearly as distructive and manages to maintain his weight. Vickie is just fantastic with them.

    Pros

    Dogs are happy

    Cons

    none

  • 7. Play Care

    by: Chewbacca

Don't like to leave your dog home along everyday? But you don't want to use a Kennel. Found that Day Care Services are to expensive? Then you really should call me. I can do over nights, some evenings and most days. Only want a day once in awhile? That's fine. Want something more often? OK\nCall me, bring your furry child and lets meet.\nMy furry children live with me and yours will to.

    Pros

Plenty of interaction with other dogs and people

    Cons

maybe not for the "shy" dog

  • 8. Will come to you!

    by: Chewbacca

I've been grooming my Poms since I got Chewbacca, my first Pom. I've come a long way since then. I offer grooming for a rate well below what you will find anywhere else. I'll even come to you! Yes, there a small fee for that, but I don't know any one else who does this. I can pick up and drop off or do the grooming there at your location. Or you can bring your pet to me and pick him/her up at a later time. I'll even incorporate a day care need with the grooming need. \nDon't you want someone who will treat your furry child like they would there own beloved pet?\nNot like an "assembly-line" grooming. \nIn the neighborhood and just want to get there nails done? CALL me. If I'm home, I'll do my best to fit you in. Never assume I'm not available. You might be surprised.

    Pros

Works with your needs and desires

    Cons

not always avalible "now", but I might be!

  • 9. Best Place to get a pomeranian

    by: Tabatha27

I found Vickie through my best friend who had gotten a Pomeranian through her. I called her and went over to see the dogs the next day. Me and my family fell in love with the cutest puppy, who we know call Mickey. Also i became attached to one of her dogs Skyler. He attached himself to me from the beginning. So we brought them home, the next day we went back and brought home the other puppy from the litter, Mickey's brother Storm. Now we have had our 3 dogs for a month now. And i have to say going to Vickie for our dogs was the best thing we could have possibly done. Her dogs are soo incredibly well taken care of and loved. It is so hard to find a breeder who cares so much about her animals like Vickie does. Glad i met her, shes also now a new friend and an absolute sweetheart. If you are even slightly thinking about getting a pom. I recommend you give Vickie a call, do not go anywhere else. Vickie is the one to see if you want a well behaved beautiful animal to add to your family. =D

    Pros

polite, sweet, loving, dogs are well behaved, beautiful animals

    Cons

    there are none.

  • 10. As good as an owner

    by: justws

Vickie is a great breeder with great taste in the dogs she mates. Every litter brings wonderful personality and colors to the pups on the way. She takes good care of them growing up. Raises them to be obedient, friendly and trusting towards their owner.\r\nShe likes to meet you before you buy a pup just to get an idea of what kind of owner you are yourself. Not that she doesn't trust you, but she can then help you pick a pup that matches your personality too!\r\nShe's a wonderful owner and breeder. She also boards dogs for periods of time and I would imagine those dogs get the same great attention her others do.\r\nBeats a pet store any day!

    Pros

Very loving breeder, takes very good care of the pups

    Cons

May have trouble saying goodbye to your new family memeber!

    Pros

    Cons

YOU MIGHT WANT TO TAKE HOME A PUPPY

    by: SEWILAM

WE HAVE A YORKIE/CHAHUAHUA MIX WHO WAS VERY HEADSTRONG. HE GOT OUT OF THE YARD ONE DAY AND RAN ACROSS A BUSY STREET AT 5PM. I RAN AFTER HIM CALLING HIM TO COME BACK. BUT HE THOUGHT IT WAS A GAME AND AFTER I HAD BOTH DIRECTIONS OF TRAFFIC STOPPED FOR A GOOD 10 MINUTES(A COUPLE OF PEOPLE GOT OUT TO HELP ME), I FINALLY GOT HIM. I CALLED VICKIE AFTER CRYING FOR ABOUT A HALF HOUR AND TOLD HER I NEEDED HELP.\r\n\r\nSHE WAS VERY GOOD. SHE HAD ME DROP HIM OFF FOR A FEW WEEKS SO SHE COULD WORK WITH HIM. SHE ALSO HAD ME COME OVER A FEW TIMES SO SHE COULD WORK ON ME...LOL. I THINK I NEEDED JUST AS MUCH TRAINING.\r\n\r\nANY WAY, WHEN WE GOT HIM BACK, MY HUSBAND ASKED IF IT WAS THE SAME DOG. HE WAS QUIETER AND LISTENED TO ME. HE SMELLED GOOD TOO, SHE HAD GIVEN HIM A BATH AND BRUSHED HIM OUT NICE.\r\n\r\nI RECOMMEND HER FOR ANY OF YOUR TRAINING PROBLEMS OR CONCERNS.

    Pros

    KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING

    Cons

  • 13. Brings them to work!

    by: HarryPeg

We met Vickie and her Poms when she came to take care of my wife. She is a in home Personal Care Attendant. She started out coming 3 days a week and was always telling us about her dogs. One day she called and said she was near by, and could she stop in. She had Chewbacca and Sierra with her. That started it. Peggy and I asked her to bring them anytime and then we asked her to bring them all the time. We just love them. After a year of so she started to bring some of her other dogs, and every time she had a litter of pups, she brought them over. They were so small. When Peggy held one of the puppies, well, I hadn't seen Peggy's eyes light up like that in a long time. Vickie would take pictures of us with the dogs and puppies, and bring us copies. We have them up every where. \nWe've known Vickie and her Poms for 4 years now. Her dogs are well trained, well loved and she takes them to her clients houses, when she goes to work if her clients allow, and want her to. \nPeggy and I are going to be 74 on our next birthdays, and we feel very lucky to have her and her Poms in our lives.\nWe definitely recommend Vickie and her Poms, for the perfect family addition to your home.\nThank you,\nHarry

    Pros

Vickie isvery giving and sharing & dogs are so loving

    Cons

She is very careful before selling her dogs and puppies

  • 14. MORE THAN A BREEDER

    by: SEWILAM

I FIRST MET VICKIE AT THE SATURDAY'S MARKET. I SAW HER PUSHING A BABY STROLLER WITH 2 OF THE CUTEST BLONDE POMS YOU WOULD EVER SEE. I STARTED TALKING TO HER AND WALKED WITH HER THRU THE FLEA MARKET. SHE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE PUPS WERE SO WELL BEHAVED. WE EXCHANGED PHONE NUMBERS AND SET UP A MEETING TO SEE HER OTHER DOGS.\r\n\r\nI WENT TO HER HOUSE AND SAW ALL HER OTHER DOGS. I BOUGHT AN OLDER PUP, OBBIE. IT WAS SO HARD TO LEAVE. SHE TOLD ME I COULD COME BACK ANY TIME TO PLAY WITH THE PUPS. MY HUSBAND WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH OBBIE. HE HAS SUCH GOOD MANNERS AND IS SO BEAUTIFUL THAT WE HAD TO GET ANOTHER ONE, RUSTY.\r\n\r\nSHE IS MORE THAN A BREEDER, VICKIE HAS BECOME A FRIEND. YOU SHOULD SEE HER NEW PUPS. I MIGHT GET ANOTHER BABY. A GIRL THIS TIME.\r\n\r\nSHE ALSO DOES TRAINING, BOARDING, AND GROOMING.\r\n\r\n

    Pros

    BEAUTIFUL ,WELL TRAINED PUPS

    Cons

NOT BEING ABLE TO TAKE THEM ALL

  • 15. Nicest Dogs and Breeder Lady I Have Ever Met!

    by: mcalvin46

MY RATING IS A 10+++++\r\n\r\nI just met Vickie a little over three weeks ago. She is a great person, and has some really great dogs.\r\nI was just pleased and happy to see that her dogs are well cared for, and was tickled at how friendly her animals were.\r\nI can see that the dogs are well cared for, and that Vickie spends a lot of time making sure her dogs are trained, people socialized, and get all the love and attention and vet care and playtime and cuddle time they need.\r\nHad I had the money, I would've bought one of Vickie's dogs right on the spot! I would recommend Vickie and Chewbacca Poms to anyone who is looking for a great dog.\r\n\r\nMY RATING IS A 10+++++

    Pros

Great dogs, friendly, enthusiastic, well cared for

    Cons

    None that I can tell

    by: modelmaheim

I am not into the frufru dogs. My wife, on the other hand, loves them. She says these are gorgous dogs. We have one of Vickie's rescues. That is a good dog. We love her and wouldn't trade her for anything. Vickie's poms are cute, but I think her rescued dogs deserve this review. She has no problem taking an unwanted dog and doing everything in her power to insure the dog is placed in a loving home. Only if it is waaaay beyond her means does she take it to the humane society. She will retrain the dog, make sure it has all its shots and anything else to make sure the dog is placed well. Then she checks up on the dog for a period of time to make sure everything is working out. She does a good job.

    Pros

    cute babies

    Cons

    none

I have been this lady's neighbor for 4 years. I love her dogs! She actively tries to better the pomeranian breed. Her puppies are some of the best socialized I have ever seen. She loves them all with all her heart. She insures they have all their first shots and declaws removed. When she sells a puppy she makes sure the new owner is familiar with the breed and the different problems that may arise with this breed. She takes an active role in their training and always makes sure the new owner knows the basics before taking the puppy home. She is not in the breeding for the money. She is in it for the love of the breed. She is a breeder that I don't mind saying is one of the best I have met. If you are looking for a puppy, she is where I would tell you to get one. As for her rescues, I am the happy mother of Lady Byrd, one of her rescues.

    Pros

Dogs are all VERY well socialized

    Cons

    Barking next door

    by: Chewbacca

I breed pomeranians. My dogs are home raised and are my furry children. I love each and every one of them. My goal is to place the right puppy into the right home. I do not just sell my dogs to anyone. I follow up with the new owner for 6 months or longer to insure they are happy in their new home and that the new owners are happy with the dog. I provide training and assistance to insure that the match is a good one. My dogs come back to me if for any reason they are unable to stay in their home! I am very much opposed to puppy mills and mass breeding. I am a firm believer that young dogs should be socialized and loved prior to being placed in a new home. I am very involved in rescues. Any rescues I do I make sure the same rules apply to them as I do with my own pups.

    Pros

Follow the lives of my dogs, they are my children

    Cons

Very selective in who I sell too.
