  • 1. A kind and wonderful man....

    by: mythreemeows

I have gone there for probably 25 years. Two of my cats went there for their entire lives (19 and 20) and they were there to comfort me when I had to have them put down due to chronic medical problems from aging. They understand how an animal becomes a part of the family and it is like losing a family member. Dr. Riffle is the only vet I go to. He is the most kind, compassionate, caring man and always puts my pets (and me) at ease. He listens to you and often is right on the money with a diagnosis even before lab test confirmation. A very knowledgeable man! When I did encounter a problem a couple years ago, he investigated what happened and made it right. I wouldn't go to anyone else, even though I have moved a bit further away. I have referred several friends there and they love him as much as me - they now also talk about "kind, wonderful Dr. Riffle."

    Pros

Kind, caring staff, have been there for me and my pets

    by: CheyenneGreyhound

This has been our family's vet for 25 years. They helped us battle feline leukemia with 2 of my cats - kept another cat healthy for 22 years. And helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. \r\nMy girl - my greyhound Cheyenne was diagnosed with Trigeminal Nuritis (sp) and it was quite a task keeping her quality of life at a level she and I could accept, but they were there right beside us fighting the battle too. \r\nWith constantly changing meds we were able to give my soul girl dignity in her last 6 months. It was not until she and I realized it was time for her to cross the rainbow bridge that we at last all said our good-byes. \r\nThe staff all called her their little girl and made there farewells and then gave me all the time i wanted and needed with her.\r\nWhen it was all over, I opted for cremation and I was presented with a beautiful urn - a plaster mold with her foot print and name. It with her ashes are on my dresser. \r\nThey also sent me a sympathy card. I never realized there were vets out there that cared like that.\r\nWhen, at last, I was ready for another grey - I took 2 rescued racers and my first stop was, you guessed it, there to show off my new babies and introduce everyone.

Dr. Riffle and staff came highly recommended from family and friends who take their pets to Chartiers Animal Hospital. I am very glad we decided to also become "patients" there.

    Pros

Very friendly, willing to answer all my many questions about dog we adopted. Made me feel very welcome and seem to like what they do.

    Cons

    none so far

  • 4. Very Friendly and Caring People

I was very pleased with the care they gave my cat. My cat was typically very afraid of strangers but he seemed to like his vet and allowed the doctor do anything to him. Dr. Riffle is very soft-spoken and seems to keep the animals at ease.

    Pros

    Great people!

    Cons

My vet wasn't there every weekday.
