  • 1. The Best Vets and Hospital in North Florida

    by: cpruyn1

We've been going to Buck Lake Animal Hospital for years. They are the BEST anywhere! When Winston (our Yorkie) was diagnosed with heart disease, they knew what to do, where to send him (and us) for further tests and treatment... and when he died I believe they were as sad as we were. As long as Dr. Carter and Dr. Levitan are there, we will never go anywhere else! They take care of all of our pets... 3 dogs, 2 cats and in the past my Russian Dwarf Hamster too!\r\n\r\nThey also have a knowledgeable and compassionate staff! Terri is the greatest!

    Pros

    Compassionate, Professional, The Best!

    Cons

    They won't treat humans!

Dr. Carter was great when my dog Macy broke his leg, and years later, when we had to put him to sleep, she was very compassionate.\r\nLiz Jameson

    Cons

No cons...wish they were open a bit later.

  • 4. Great veterinary hospital

    by: Sherrie

Our dogs are both patients at Buck Lake Animal Hospital. It is a great hospital with well informed vets and very friendly support staff. They are a great hospital for your pets' basic needs. They do not specialize in several specialized procedures though, such as TPLO (Tibia Plateau Ligament Osteo) surgery and a few others. We had Dr. Carter at this hospital put our rottweiler down after a fight with bone cancer (osteosarcoma). The euthanization process was quick and painless and was handled with the utmost respect. They sent a sympathy card and clay pawprint home with us. This very sensitive gesture meant the world during such a difficult time/loss.

    Pros

Great caring vets and support staff

    Cons

    Don't perform many specialized procedures
