I am origionally from Greene County and have been familiar with Braden Run and the caring staff, this is why when I moved to Washington County I opted to keep them as my vet even though its a 20 minute drive from where I live.Several months ago our 1 year old cat became ill he was first seen at the local EXPRESS type of animal hospital in Washington Pa because his regular vet at Braden was out of town on this particular day. At the express type vet the treatment he recieved did not help. The next day he was worse. This is when I took him to Braden Run to see his regular vet Dr McMillan. Here he was kept for three days and treated for an intestonal problem. He was prescribed a fiber suppliment powder that he gets once a day. He has been fine ever since. He went from being very sick to the happy kitty he was the day we adopted him.

Staff cares about the animals .

We felt like Braden Run was our second home last year. Our orange tabby, Tigger, was sick with some sort of "mystery" illness, and his usual vet, who shall remain nameless, just figured it was cancer and that there was nothing we could do. He just told us that these usually don't have happy endings and that was about all he could do. I searched the internet for other vets in my area, and came across Braden Run's site, and how they were an accredited animal hospital, which was a very distinctive sort of practice. I was able to book an appointment the next day, and were immediately impressed with Dr. McMillen's level of knowledge and caring towards Tigger. With their advanced facility and equipment, she and Dr. Mikk were able to diagnose Tig with kidney disease, and treated him for the next nine months or so. We did eventually have to put him to sleep, but the last months of his life were, we hope, painless and dignified. We kept him with us as long as we could, and that meant a lot to us, instead of putting him to sleep nine months prior. Even though we live 30 minutes away, we still retain Braden Run as our vet of choice, and I reccommend Dr. McMillen to anyone I know who has a sick animal. You can tell that she is truly an animal lover, as opposed to someone who is not very caring and only there for a paycheck.

Great Staff, exceptionally clean facility, expert knowledge

  • 5. Braden Run...the best of the best

    by: tdenman

My family have had several different dealings with Braden Run. In particular, we had to have two cats put down on two separate occasions. They were so caring and loving during this process, they even had small caskets for the cats to be burried in on our property. This meant so much to my children as they are very small and things like pets dying are hard to explain. They've gotten up in the middle of the night to help with sick pets and have charged amounts that I would only guess are minimum charges. We love Braden Run...they are the best of the best!\r\n\r\nThe Denman Family, Washington County.

Friendly, knowledgeable and loving staff...everything you need when caring for pets.

If you are from the Washington area...you have to drive a few more miles to get there.
