I have been going to Dr. Bollens' veterinary hospital for over 25 years. In 1980 when I took my first two kittens in, Dr. Bollens said they didn't see too many cats. People didn't take cats to the vet very often then. That has changed a lot. \r\n\r\n The staff, from vets, to vet techs, to the front desk staff are quite knowlegable and always courteous, in person and on the phone. If I call to ask a question, I either get an answer right away or a call back the same day. They not only treat my pets, but take the time to answer my questions.\r\n \r\nI especially like the open hours on weekday mornings if I need to take a pet in. But, I can also make an appointment for an afternoon or evening or Saturday morning if I need to. I have also used the boarding facilities on occasion and know my pets are well cared for.\r\n\r\n If someone is looking for a vet, I recommend Dr. Bollens.\r\n

  • 2. Dr. Bollens turned my kitty, Max, into a very healthy cat

    by: deemax

When my kitten was 9 months old, he developed urination problems. He became listless, had no appetite, and was no longer the playful kitten I had grown to love. After 1 visit to another vet, and 2 more visits to the Emergency Clinic, I was referred to Dr. Bollens and his clinic. \r\n\r\nDr. Bollens put my kitten on meds, and informed me that he thought Max had feline urinary syndrome - the formation of crystals in the urine that blocked his ability to urinate. He suggested that we try Max on a steady diet of Science C/D prescription food. I was to feed Max this food and nothing else. He explained to me that most cat food had too much ash in it, and could have been complicating my cat's problem.\r\n\r\nDr. Bollens was right on the money, for within a few weeks, my kitten had energy, he was eating well, and was playful again. I feel that Dr. Bollen saved my cat from death.\r\n\r\nIt has been over 3 years now, and Max has not had any problems since being prescribed this food by one terrific doctor! He still has a lot of kitty in him and we play all the time. I love my cat [he was a birthday present that just keeps on giving!], and I love Dr. Bollens for being so astute and knowledgeable.\r\n\r\nI highly recommend this Vet to anyone who is looking for a caring, calming and highly knowledgeable veterinarian. \r\n\r\nThank God for Dr. Bollen!!
