I have been there. From my experience they take care of the animals as expenses allow. They love what they do. However, there are rumors of adopted animals suffering of distemper. That was some time ago and the problem may have been resolved. All in all, it's your choice.

    by: dlyda23

I volunteer twice monthly to help with the animals. When an animalcomes into the shelter, it is given a name so that it feels safe and loved. When the young lady comes in that runs the place, they all know her voice and can't wait to see her. She stops by each and every cage and talks to everyone. All the animals are treated like part of the family. This shelter has a bit bulletin board that is posted with pictures of lost pets and phone numbers of people looking for their loved ones. The shelter works with rescue organizations and other shelters to help find the animals kind, loving homes. The young lady that runs the shelter is a true animal lover. She has taken in 2 day old kittens and nursed them until they are old enough to adopt and that included taking them with her everywhere she went and getting up every two hours to bottle feed them. When we get in a lost animal, we go thru the call log to see if it is one that has been called abour. We got in a blind cocker spaniel and in a matter of a few days found a very special person to love and take care of her. This shelter truly deserves this makeover.
