    by: animalslover101

This shelter is really good. my friends and I went there to donate some money we collected. they were so happy we gave them donation of $63.?. When we were there we got to go in one of the dogs cages. it was really cool except for the parr where the dogs paws were a little poopy, so they got it all over us. anyway, when we were looking at the cats there were ton. by the time we got all the way around the room, almost all the cats had been adopted!!!! and it was about 10 feet!!!! all the cages were really clean and well kept. All there animals get adopted normally within the week the shelter got them!!! that must mean that they area very good shelter. oh, and not just because they didn't have many pets. they actually had a lot of dogs and cats. I would recommend this shelter any day!

  • 3. Animal Shelter Inc Rock! Go Tennessee Dogs!

    by: rescuedoglover

I got the chance to visit last September and loved the Shelter. it is a great set up. the rescue i work with in Tennessee sends pups up to Leigh and her group to find homes. I almost always get a response from the new family and even now get Christmas cards from some of them. They have all gotten great homes. Thanks Sterling! keep up the great work.\r\n\r\nOh and give Jarred, Sapphire, Fellow and Esmerelda all a big kiss for me and tell their new families when they are adopted that they will be missed!

    Cons

    by: Daisydoo22

I was very pleased with this shelter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. (and of course patient since my decision took forever) The dogs all appeared healthy and well cared for. The puppy I got was very healthy and luckily didn't have worms or anything. The free vet appointment you get was a good addition and insured that my little girl was healthy =) I definitely recommend this shelter to others.

    Pros

A large amount of puppies availbable for adoption weekly

    Cons

    I can't adopt them all =)

  • 6. Sterling Animal Shelter is the place to adopt your dog or cat.

    by: jillybean078

We went to Sterling to get a dog on the recommendation of our family vet's office. We were very pleased to get there and pick our new friend and bring him home that day. Bandit has been a wonderful, healthy, friendly dog to our family. The animal shelter provided us with all that we needed to start out with our new pet. They were wonderful and I would highly recommend them to anyone searching for a new pet.

    Pros

Lots of adoptable pets to choose from, friendly helpful staff.

    Cons

Got to be quick to pick your pet, they go fast.

  • 7. Great place

    by: mmcdonald22

They were so wonderful we adopted 2 kittens I wanted 2 from the same litter and 1 was ready to adopt the other was still at a foster home. They told me to call every day and see if kitten was ready to adopt. They were very patient with me considering I was a borterline staker!!! At last Cammy was ready to adopt!!! I left work and bought her as soon as the doors opened!!!\r\n\r\nGreat place I wont go any where else.

    Pros

Animals are healthy and not crammed together

    Cons

Couldnt pay in advanced for the special cat not ready to adopt yet...

  • 9. find fabulous friends!

    by: satomommi

We adopted our Satos from Sterling and it was the best thing we've ever done. The staff was great. They were really informative and helpful. You could tell they just love the animals. They participate in the Save a Sato program and I know they get a lot of flack for it because there are dogs here in the U.S. that need homes. But all homeless dogs need homes, so what's the difference? We'd been looking for a smaller dog for awhile and had no luck with our local shelters (western ma) when we saw Sterling on petfinder. We went intending to get one pup, but fell in love with two and couldn't decide. They gave us the pros and cons of taking both of them and then gave us the time and space to make our decision. Our girls were both spayed before we picked them up and had all their shots and got a clean bill of health from our vet. Oh, and they gave us a coupon for a free first check-up from a vet of our choice.

    Pros

no-kill, lots of pups, many charitable programs

    Cons

kind of off the beaten path

  • 19. My dog was destined for death row...

    by: cyndicas

My dog was destined for death row... and would never have become a family member if it wasn't for the homeward hounds program! \r\n\r\nI had been to several shelters, before landing at sterling animal shelter... we wanted to take home all the dogs, but.. felt we needed to give others the opportunity to find their next new family addition.\r\n\r\nThe staff there were helpful in our selection and made sure we had all the proper supplies to get our new puppy on to a right start in his new family home.\r\n\r\nThe enclosures were clean and spacious (there were five puppies in the one we chose Shep from) and none of them were overcrowded. \r\n\r\nMy children and I had fun playing with several different puppies before making the final decision (boy was that hard) and were not rushed through the process.\r\n\r\nThey do ask a lot of questions before allowing their animals to be adopted out, but to me that is a good thing, as that shows that they are looking for a good fit between the animals and the families looking for a new member. The fees were reasonable as well.\r\n\r\nI do know that I will go to sterling again (but hopefully not for awhile yet as we love our dog) and I have told many friends to check out sterling when they are searching for that next great companion!\r\n\r\nKeep up the good work Sterling!

We had such a great experience at Sterling Animal Shelter, when adopting our puppy Miles. Everyone there was so friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond when helping us out. We couldn't be any happier with how everything turned out. Miles is a great addition to our family and we have everyone at the shelter to thank for it! We have been telling everyone we know and meet about how wonderful it is there in hopes that they will rescue and adopt their next pet from there!

No-kiill shelter than educates the public at every level

    Cons

    difficult to get to

  • 29. Sterling Animal Shelter

    by: anarresa

The staff was very concerned for the animals and the facilities were clean and comfortable. It's bit of a process to adopt so save enough time for the paperwork and such, but that means the animals will be properly placed. Neutering and vaccinations, etc were all included. I love my Watson, and they seemed very happy that I was happy.

    Pros

animals look VERY well cared for

    Cons

location - down a small side road

  • 30. adopting

    by: VMB58

I have been recommending the sterling shelter to all my friends. My dog, Lily, and I have been going to the dog park and we have met many other happy dogs from sterling shelter.

    Pros

The staff was well prepared so that the adoption process didn't take that long

    Cons

The dogs went quickly if you didn't get there early enough you were out of luck

  • 31. Great Reputation

    by: nicoleapollo

This is a great shelter for those families looking for younger dogs. They always have a great selection of puppies available.

    Pros

Commitment to rescuing Puppies from other "kill" shelters

    Cons

Puppies are adopted so fast! You have to be ready to act quickly if you see one you are interested in...not really a con, but the only one I could think of.

  • 32. Happy we found them

    by: elsapm3401

I highly recommend this Animal Shelter to anyone looking for a pet to join their family as a companion. They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful but not pushy or overbearing. They were willing to spend time with you and answer anything they could about the animal(s) we met. The adoption process was thorough but not as restrictive as some rescues which was great if you don't live in the area such as ourselves. We ended up with (2) great puppies who have truly become family.

    Pros

able to meet and interact with animals in both an indoor and outdoor setting. Animal history on premises with great records

    Cons

    none that come to mind

  • 33. Skeptical at first

    by: carrie135king

I will admit I was skeptical at first about the ease of adoption at this shelter, many other facilities require a extensive check prior to adoption and this process seemed little more than paperwork. Their process does seem to work, each week several otherwise homeless puppies are placed including mine who it turns out is THE BEST DOG EVER. Thank you Animal Shelter Inc for the work you do and bringing Barkley to us from Virginia.

    Pros

Lots of puppies to choose from, clean and helpful staff

    Cons

    puppies go quickly

  • 34. Happy animals

    by: lgouvin

Although I have not personally rescued a pet from Sterling, I know many people who have and everyone of them have amazing animals. They are all happy with their experience there.\n\nI fostered a formerly feral kitten for awhile and they gave me great advice about keeping up with his wild habits.\n\nIt's truly a wonderful place with a staff full of caring, knowledgeable people!

    Pros

    Animals are well cared for

    Cons

    Can't think of any

  • 35. A nice place

    by: MaggieAndMark

I am pleased they work to take animals that are in need of a home and they are a no kill shelter.\r\n\r\nI found a wonderful puppy...beware there were many puppies so it's hard to resist them!

    Pros

    They are a rescue shelter

    Cons

    none known

  • 36. Best Shelter I've Adopted From

    by: flybabylocker

We have adopted two Puerto Rican rescue dogs (satos) from Sterling Animal Shelter. Both dogs made amazing pets. In the past, we have adopted a dog and a cat from different shelters. They did not give us the complete history on the animals which led to problems down the line. They were more concerned with placing the animal than in whether or not the animal was a good fit. Our dog had been returned to them for biting issues yet they gave it to us telling us the animal was returned for entirely different reasons. At Sterling, each time we have visited, the staff wanted to make sure the dog was a good fit for our family, even if it meant coming back another day to visit different dogs. NO pressure. They let you know if the dog can't be with small children or other dogs or cats, etc. This is very helpful information to have up front. The animals were all clean, as were their living areas. The staff was good with animals AND people; something lacking at other facilities. The animals are all spayed or neutered prior to adoption and all shots have been administered. The staff is available for follow-up questions and help. If we are ever looking to adopt another pet, this would be the only place we would consider going back to. They are very good.

    Pros

    Wonderful facility and staff

    Cons

    none

  • 37. Wonderful

    needs better facilities!

  • 38. love the shelter

    by: jcrabbitone

    the staff

    Cons

    nothing

  • 39. I Love This Shelter

I have adopted 2 dogs from the Sterling Animal Shelter in Sterling, Ma. The staff is also welcoming new and old customers. by: CarolMajernik

I was very impressed with all this shelter does. My niece is a grad student at Tufts U. in Boston and I knew that they had a good vet school there. Kudos to helping animals in places like Puerto Rico, too.

    Cons

  • 41. Sterling Animal Shelter

    by: elizabeth58

The staff at Sterling is friendly and knowledgeable, they let you explore the area where the pups and dogs are. We love our little 1/2bassett 1/2lab hes a year now and was taken care of so well at the shelter. The staff at the shelter is experienced and caring. I have recommended Sterling to several of my friends who have also adopted from them. \nAlthough the facility is in a nice area and kept well, it does need to be updated and hopefully grow in size as it is tight quarters when visiting pups/cats.

    Pros

people and animals are always friendley there.

    Cons

the facility needs to be expanded

  • 42. Excellent shelter!

    by: donutdevil

I went to this shelter to volunteer, and the staff there really care about the animals. They go the extra mile to make sure that the pets are adopted into homes and families that they are well suited to. The shelter is kept clean and the animals are all well cared for. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and given appropriate care for any special conditions. An excellent animal shelter.

    Pros

    no-kill shelter, dogs and cats

    Cons

    none

    Cons

  • 44. Sterling Shelter

    by: lakarpaty

This was only a second shelter I've been to but it had everything I needed. Although we were the last visitors of the day, all employees were cordial, knowledgeable and professional and accomdated us past their closing time. Puppy selection was great, so come early in case you have a hard time to decide on the right puppy. They let you play with puppies you choose in a separate cage, so that you get to know your adoptee well. \r\n The adoption process was very smooth and informative. All vaccinations were done, even a future one. Free tag, leash, food, one vet visit were provided.\r\n When a grooming salon opened up in our town, the shelter sent us a coupon for a free visit there.\r\n Highly recommended!\r\n

    Pros

good communications, website, updates, puppies selection

    Cons

    too many choices :)

  • 45. sterling animal shelter

    Cons

    don't know of any

  • 46. Very Happy

    by: karabeery

I was lucky enough to find this shelter that had puppies (which is really what I wanted), but I also wanted to be able to rescue a dog in need. This shelter is so great because they are constantly bringing homeless and neglected puppies from places that they would otherwise have a doomed fate. It was a positive experience, and my now 1 year old pup, Jack, is one of the best things that ever happened to me!!

    Pros

All the puppies are so cute and well cared for.

    Cons

You have to get there on a specific day, or the puppy you wanted could be gone!

  • 47. animal rescuers!

  • 48. Love Sterling

    by: rreusch

I adopted both my dogs from Sterling and have spent many hours volunteering so I have not only visited but have also experienced the "behind the scenes" aspect to the shelter. The staff is extremely dedicated to what they do and really care about their animals. My two dogs are absolutely amazing and it is because of Sterling that I am so fortunate to have them. I would (and do) recommend this shelter to anyone and everyone looking for an addition to their family!

  • 50. A Wonderful Place to Find a Puppy

    by: xDearAmbellinax

I went to the shelter looking just to see the place and to bring some supplies to them. Instead I found myself surrounded by beautiful puppies who were already well on their way to being socialized. Puppies were being adopted left and right, but not thrown away. Their adoption policy was daunting, but not threatening. I found myself proud of the shelter for protecting their animals rather than just trying to get rid of them.\r\n\r\nI'll definitely visit again.

    Pros

    Beautiful and clean facility

    Cons

Can be crowded at busy hours

  • 51. Great place to Adopt from!

    by: AEW

We adopted several years ago from Sterling. It was a great experience. We went to the shelter multiple times to check out & interact with the animals. We had a one year old & a cat, so wanted to make sure we had a good fit when we choose our dog. The staff was great with helping us out. Gave lots of good info about the temperment testing of the dogs. We choose a lab puppy who has grown to 120 lbs now! He is our gentle giant. We have been back over the years for training & the shelter is still doing a great job!

    Pros

Laid back atmosphere, allowed plenty of time to get to know the pets before deciding on adopting

I picked up Relish near the end of June. It was my first dog. I was amazed that how clean everything was. The staf was able to answer any questions I or my son had. Once Relish (also his name from the shelter) found us and decided he wanted to go home with us, the friendly staff helped us with the adoption paperwork. It was a very nice experiance. Anyone in the New England area should go to this shelter.

I actually started volunteering here almost two years ago. This shelter is no-kill, very clean, and has a very smart staff! I got one of my kitties from here and would recommend anyone who is looking for a companion to check here first! They get the animals all up to date on shots, being fixed etc. So they are ready to go. I've been to other shelters and this place is alot cleaner and trusted than most!

It's great to have a nice shelter for animals who need a safe place to stay where they will be properly cared for untill they can find a permanent home. We need such a place where I live, the animals in my community do not get a fair chance. I feel so bad for them and wish I could do more.

i am so thankful for the sterling animal shelter and all its staff members. the staff is so informative and up to date. they keep track and analyze every pet they see thouroughly. they provide leashes, collars, tags, toys, and food when you make an adoption. each dog gets shots and is spayed or nuetured saving you a lot of time. i recently got a dog from there and she is so nice and such a happy go lucky pup. her name was apple at the shelter but we changed it to mandy. the staff makes sure that each home is well suited for a dog. the shelter is neat and tidy but has a tiny area and that is why they need this make over. they also help dogs in need who were abandoned, abused, a stray or dogs who were going to be ethanized. wherever a dog is need u can count on sterling animal shelter. whether its big or small they always find a way. as there moto is "every nose needs a home".

We adopted our dog Ted from The Sterling Animal Shelter in 2003, he's a SATO from P.R. Everyone we met there was helpful and friendly. They allowed us to sit in the pens with the dogs before we decided on which one to take home. They had a reunion with the SATO dogs where you could meet other people who adopted SATOs. They took our pictre with our dog so that they could send it to the person who fostered him while he was in P.R.

    by: Semerads

I have been looking to adopt a dog/puppy for the past six months and grew very tired of being enticed by other rescues only to find out that the dogs are fostered in other states and aren't available for visitation etc. unless you commit to adopting sight unseen. That's really not my style so I was ecstatic to find such a nice facility with a variety of dogs and other animals you can actually spend some time with before adopting. However, you should be prepared to adopt a dog the day you visit, chances are someone else will adopt it if you wait. \nWe ended up picking out a little lab mix (Maeby) who is the sweetest little dog (isn't everyones, haha). It is obvious the dogs are well cared for medically and mentally, such happy little pups!

    Pros

  • 69. Today I met Lucky

    by: JudyVee

Today I met Lucky, an 8 year old pure white domestic cat. I should start from the begining. In March, 2007, I lost my Blacky boy after 16 years. My heart was broken. Being Christmas my husband thought he would surprise me with another cat, but the rules at the Sterling Animal Shelter clearly states all must attend. As we walked through the cat area, I noticed how very clean and tidy all the animals were. I wanted a younger cat, so I checked out a few 1 & 2 year old cats. My husband in the meantime went around the corner and there he met Lucky. Lucky was talking up a storm as if to say, look at me, take me home. When the attendent opened up Lucky's cage, he jumped into my arms. I was sold. We took Lucky to his new home, which he has adapted to in less than 7 hours. I just love him. We are the lucky ones for taking home an older cat named Lucky. Thank you to the wonderful staff in Sterling. Judy

    by: kirstie87

I have visited this shelter many times. All the animals have a great amount of space ot live in and the dogs have little out-door playplaces. There are never too many animals and they are all cared for greatly. They all get very excited when a staff member comes over to them. The shelter has a no-kill policy and this is a VERY good thing to have. The shelter staff ar every knowledgeable. Once, one of them was telling me a story about one of the animals there. They care greatly for the animals and love them a lot! I drop of supplies to them once a year and they are so greatful for them and appreciative. They are kind and considerate.

    by: rats054

We went to Sterling Shelter to add a pup to our family. Since we have a little one, we were not sure how he would react. I brought him there a few times a week for a few weeks to be sure he would like dogs. The staff was always so kind, and was never impatient with our visits. They would allow Jackson to play with pups, and interact with them to give him a good experience. We found our match, Rosie, after a few weeks. The adoption process was easy and smooth. All questions were answered, and we were encouraged to come back if anything cropped up. The staff was wonderful (particularly Stacy). Thanks for helping to make Rosie a part of our family!

    by: pammiejoy

We adopted two rescued puppies here at a four to five-month interval in the last year. The shelter is not at all congested or crowded and the puppies are often playing happily outdoors in large, clean pens into which visitors are invited after speaking with an attendant. The staff is helpful but not hovering. \r\n\r\nBringing in our current pet to schmooze with the potential new puppy was welcomed and encouraged. Staff provided us with a large, private enclosure to allow the two siblings-to-be to sniff and check each other out off leash. \r\n\r\nThe adoption process was pleasant, and not at all stressful. No questions were intimidating or difficult to answer and the staff was flexible and understanding with our specific circumstances. Our family thinks you guys are the greatest!

The staff at Sterling are fabulous!! They were extremely helpful and sensitive to my requests. I was able to spend time with the dog before making a decision. When I returned the following day he was waiting for me. This Sheltie is the most wonderful puppy dog we could have. My husband and I are truly in love with him. He received such great care at the shelter for the short time he was there and we experienced no negative effects from him being between homes. • 93. my hounds first home...

    by: oOkevtOo

Four years and three months ago, i drove out to Sterling, MA in hopes of finding my new puppy. I turned with anticipation down the winding roads that lead to the Sterling Animal Shelter and was greated by a friendly, empathetic, caring, knowledgeable, loving, and enthusiastic staff. I left that day with the canine love of my life. Ella, a black and tan coonhound who had been rescued (along with her litter of seven siblings!) from Virginia via Sterling's Homebound Hounds program. The shelter asked for what i consider to be a very small donation in return for my 11.2 pounds of puppy love who had been given all of her first round vaccinations, who had been spayed, who was healthy, and clean. and to top it off before leaving the backseat was piled with her first bag of food, her first three toys, and he first lead and collar (all included with the donation, i was told). The staff at Sterling operates with the interest of the dogs held as their first priority. Before Ella became mine, i was interviewed and had to provide proof that Ella would have a safe home. Thank you to the Animal Shelter Inc. at Sterling, Ma. for bringing Ella and I together.

  • 105. The Animal Shelter in Sterling is great!!!

    by: earthshine8

I discovered the Animal Shelter in Sterling when I was looking for an animal shelter that would take the box of canned cat food my picky cat had decided she didn't like. I picked up a few other things for the animals before going over. When I arrived, someone was very helpful, taking all the goodies to the car and letting me wander around and look at the animals. I was so impressed I became a volunteer at the Shelter, and am very glad I did! Every day I see the hard work and the caring that the staff puts into the Shelter. They are training myself and the other new volunteers up to be just as knowledgeable as the long-time helpers. They take the time to explain the entire adoption process to an would be "new parents" and help them find just the right pet for them. I love volunteering there, and plan on adopting my next pet from there. \r\nIt's a great place to visit!

  • 107. Easiest shelter to work with

    by: JBader

Living in Worcester County, I was able to visit some of the pups here first and they allow you to spend time in the kennel with them, which is great to get ot know the pups. This helped me choose Bella, since she was more of the timid little girl. I got to take her home that night, (other than the hiccup). \r\nAlso I visited many other sites and called other places, with limited hours, or the pups are in foster care far away so you don't get to meet them. \r\nAlso many other places have you fill out long evaluations/questionairs, etc. Some even want to do a home visit and require a fenced in yard. \r\nSterling were so friendly and easy to work with. They were not demanding, just trying to quickly find these pets a home. \r\n

    Pros

Could go by and spend time with pups any time. Could take them home on the spot and didn't have to go through an invasive Home Visit/Assessment. Have on site veternarian care. Pups are spayed/neutered if old enough, and included in adotpion fee.

    Cons

After being spayed the night before, when I picked up my pup she was in the kennel again with her siblings all licking and playing with each other. I had to leave her overnight, because her incision opened up when I went o put her in my car:( However they did take her immediately and had her ready to come home the next day (w/a conehead).

    by: kirby

My dog salsa was on her death bed dying of an aggressive virus called Parvo at 9 weeks old. Sterling put weeks of medical treatment into Salsa and she recovered to be an amazing addition to our family!!\n\nReasons the Animal Shelter of Sterling is wonderful: All pets who come through the doors have full medical treatment, sick and routine. All animals are spayed/neutered cutting down on overpopulation problems slowly but surely. They reach out to communities other than their own to help animals doomed to cruelty and death. Their strict adopter screening regime weeds out irresponsible owners so that the animals will have the best life possible. And last but certainly not least, the Animal Shelter of Sterling is a safe and compassionate place for these animals. Some shelters are thought of as "bad places". Well first hand, I know that the staff and volunteers of this organization provide a loving, supportive, and healthy atmosphere for these animals. An animal at this shelter is never alone :)

WOW...we were so impressed with the staff and pets at the shelter. \r\n\r\nSO they are small and old... but clean, clean, clean. \r\n\r\nThe staff know ALL the pets by name...there were no poops in the pets ANYWHERE to be seen. The pets were happy and well adjusted.\r\n\r\nThey each had their OWN beds...lots of toys...there were volunteers smooching on the animals everywhere. The cat room was immaculate and DIDN"T EVEN SMELL.\r\nMy wife is seriously allergic to cats and we didn't even realize we were in the cat room... there was no smell...\r\n\r\nwe just missed adopting the pet of our dreams as she was walking out of the office as we were walking in but I understand that some families have to visit a few times before finding the perfect pet.\r\n\r\nHigh 5 and paw to the staff and volunteers. They've worked hard and deserve it.

  • 114. Wonderful Experience

    by: rkilbourn

We adopted our newest dog, Griffin, from Animal Shelter Inc., a few months ago, and everything about the experience was great. The volunteers we dealt with were amazing, and it's obvious how much everyone involved at the shelter is committed to the welfare of the animals in their care. \r\n\r\nThe adoption process was extremely organized as well, and all of Griffin's vaccinations; worming, neutering, etc., were complete and well documented. I can't recommend Animal Shelter Inc., highly enough -- it's a wonderful organization. Griffin is an absolute joy, and we feel so lucky to have adopted him.

    Pros

  • 115. the Animal Shelter in Sterling is a great place

    by: dmuise48

I needed to find a shelter that would allow me to practice dog training as part of my certification. I was thrilled to become a volunteer at the Animal Shelter in Sterling. They have a great facility there. Every dog is photographed the minute they come in, and web pictures updated several times a day. They are washed, fed, watered, and rested. They are throughly checked by the facility vet and fully staffed clinic, neutered, and observed for a minimum of 48 hours before they are ready for adoption. The facility itself is clean and large. They also house dogs together when possible which is unique, and offers socialization that is not always available at other facilities. The volunteers go through an orientation class, so we are familiar with facility policies and procedures. I would recommend this facility for anyone looking for a healthy adoptable pet.

    Pros

    Mostly puppies and young dogs

    Cons

    Mostly big hound mixes.

  • 116. Kudos to the Animal Shelter in Sterling!! YOU ROCK!!!!!

    by: maxi5537

We adopted 2 puppies from the Animal Shelter in Sterling this year. They are both healthy happy dogs. We took both of them directly to our veterinarian and they were in excellent health. There are so many stories of animals being mistreated in shelters and pet stores. NOT in Sterling!! The animals are well cared for by a dedicated staff. Our veterinarian said the shelter has a great reputation. We learned of the Animal Shelter online. We have 2 terrific dogs thanks to their dedication to finding good homes for stray animals.

    Pros

Well cared for animals with dedicated staff.

    Cons

    Too small.

Sterling Animal Shelter was the cleaniest of the shelters that I went to when I was looking for my cat. The staff was very helpful when I was looking for my new cat. I had looked for a cat at other shelters but am happy to say Merlin aka Mr. Jackson ended up in my home and he is a great cat. I would highly recommend the Sterling Animal Shelter to anyone looking for their new pet!

    Pros

    the staff!

    by: buddyandrufus

I drove approximately 200 miles to visit this shelter. After Sparky passed, I started looking for another dog to love. I searched the internet and found this shelter which impressed me right away. \r\nWhen I actually visited the shelter, it was perfect. Nice setting, knowlegable staff and so CLEAN! It is just what every shelter should be.\r\nI did not adopt. Not because there wasn't enough adorable puppies to choose from...I just wasn't ready and this shelter helped me realize this.

    Pros

    Clean

    Cons
