  • 1. Wonderful people, pets and shelter

    by: Sentola

Kindest folks run this facility. They save so many dogs from local shelters. Their volunteers work so hard and keep making the rescue better and better.

    Pros

    Dogs have a good environment

    Cons

That it isn't bigger - even though they are big

I volunteer there, so this review may seem one sided, however, before I volunteered there I got my dog Skipper from ARF about 4 years ago. Any place that would save this boy is so dear to me is a place I want to be a part of. They do good work, and they are good people working for a good cause. It really is a home, with warm beds for wet noses, yummy treats for eager faces, and people to love them until they find their forever home. I look forward to the weekend so I can spend time with the dogs are ARF. Everybody who works there truly cares about each and every dog. \r\n

    Pros

The dogs are able to run free all day

    Cons

    Can't think of one

  • 3. ARF! Such a great place!

    by: Tracyb

I found Animal Rescue of Fresno-ARF- on Petfinders and when I decided to foster dogs until I find one of my own, I looked into fostering with ARF and the CCSPCA. I decided to work with ARF since they are completely volunteer run and supported. In my orientation, I found that the site was MUCH larger than I had imagined and was very well taken care of. The dogs are separated into LARGE yards based on their temperament and there are several Kennel buildings which are heated AND air conditioned where the dogs sleep at night. I found the facility so wonderful that I cannot volunteer only once a week. I will go as often as possible. There are so many incredible dogs that need homes and if they are not adopted out, at least they have this terrific facility with caretakers who LOVE each and every one of them!

    Pros

They have heated and air conditioned housing for the kennels and separate the dogs in yards based on how they get along with each other.

    Cons

They could use a large covered outdoor area for the dogs to play when it is raining

  • 4. The highlight of my week

    by: shelleyv

Yes I volunteer there, so this review may seem one sided, however, before I volunteered there I got my dog Bruiser from ARF about 4 years ago. Any place that would save this little fury boy that is so dear to me is a place I want to be a part of. They do good work, and they are good people working for a good cause. It really is a home, with warm beds for wet noses, yummy treats for eager faces, and people to love them until they find their forever home. Thank you for everything.

    Pros

It's a place for those dogs who are abandoned, abused or lost to call home.

    Cons

To many unwanted dogs in Fresno county and not enough room to save them all.
