  • 1. Wonderful Shelter!

    by: iamasheltie

The staff and volunteers are all very dedicated and knowledgable. They are very interested in making sure that each animal not only finds a home, but rather find the perfect home. Every animal is loved and cared for, and the facilities are very well maintained. An impressive establishment for the extreme dependence on volunteers <3

sometimes limited dog selection (like all of NH)

We adopted our older dog from ARLNH. Not only did we get a wonderful puppy, but after adopting from another rescue, it became clear how professional the staff here was. I would love to adopt another animal from them.

    wonderful, caring staff

  • 3. I love this shelter!

    by: MKateKnight

I used to volunteer at this shelter and the people are GREAT. I adopted two kitties from then (one in 200 and another in 2002) and still have them today. The facility is beautiful. I especially like the rooms where you can get to know your potential pet.

    Home-like feel

It's a bit of a drive for me

I volunteered here on and off for 6 years and loved it! The animals are very well cared for, thoroughly socialized, and the staff are very knowledgable. They really care about the health and happiness of the animals, and are very intent on making sure each animal goes to a good home that suits it's unique needs and personalities.

great staff, very dedicated to the animals and community outreach

sometimes short on adoptabel dogs (as all New England shelters are)

This is where I got my Shepherd, Coral, in 2000. I have now had her for 7 years and I have not been disappointed. When we were having trouble with her in the beginning we called the rescue league and they helped us find a solution so that we could keep her.

    Far from my home
