Take my advice and do not waste the gas. This place is not worth consideration. I can't get that smell out of my system.

    Cons

    Totally Nasty and Unprofessional

  • 2. Great place

    by: ktsmom

While I have never been to this rescue in person, I have heard great things about it. A close friend donates on a regular basis and I value her input. So many animals need help today and I'm so glad there are rescues like this to be there. Best of Luck to all of them.

  • 5. Animal Rescue Inc. - a shelter for-life

    by: jsknott

This is a fabulous shelter to be at if you happen to be an abused, abandoned, homeless, or neglected animal. There is a huge main yard where most of the dogs run loose, no one is kept in tiny cages, and large kennel runs for dogs that don't always get along with all dogs. There is also lots of inside areas, all temperature regulated for dogs who chose to stay inside. The best thing is, the dogs get to chose where they want to be! The staff knows every single dog on the property and each dog's unique personality. They also have cat rooms that all have enclosed porches so the cats can take a sunbath at their leisure or enjoy the air conditioning. There is staff there 24/7 taking care of all the animals needs. There is also a clinic onsite and twice a week they do nothing but spay/neuter clinics for cats, feral or tame. They are actively trying to reduce the number of animals that end up in shelters because there aren't enough homes for all of them. It is the most amazing santuary for animals that I have ever been to!

ARI is a compassionate & friendly home for the furry friends who otherwise wouldn't have one. The ARI staff work extra hard to make sure all the dogs & cats get the best possible care and the best possible adoptive home. The goofy yard dogs' antics put a smile on my face every time I'm there!

    by: niteowlmomof2

I needed to get several female cats spayed. They no longer have a spay/neuter program in the county in which I reside, which I think is sad. I drove out of county, in fact out state to use this facilty because I needed to tend to three cats all at once and my budget was tight. Their program allowed me to finally take care of my babies so they wouldn't continue to have unwanted babies. The staff was wonderful and my girls now are free to roam once again without me having to worry about them. Thank you.

    Pros

    Excellent Spay Neuter Program

    by: Nakima

I found my new beagle quite by accident at this rescue. I lost my beloved snoopy 1 month before I started looking for another beagle and had found dooney on their web site. I had done a few searches and every time I did, dooney came up,so I called on dooney.Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) dooney already had an adoption app. on him. Although they told me they would accept another app on him, to make sure that he went to the best home they could find for him, i decided against it. Since I was over an hour away and didnt want to make a long trip there just to lose him anyway. Amanda, the adoption assistant that i spoke with, told me about another little guy they had just taken in a very few weeks before and that he had not even made it on the web site. I asked her to forward me a picture of him (she sent 2) and we were on our way to meet him. They were quite thoro in their placement of this little guy, checking my references (personal, family & vet) and then doing the in home visit, but 1 LOOOONNNNGGG week later, my boy came home with me. It was a long wait for me, but was worth the wait and i had my new pup for my 50th birthday. I took him to my vet, just for a check up, and took along all his paper work. She was impressed with the fact that he had had "the works". Indeed this is a great shelter for homeless animals. I will go back to them again! WE LOVE OUR EMMIT!

    Pros

great place for homeless pets, fantastic set up

    Cons

    to many homeless pets :(
