I have been using ACMM for years not only for my own pets but also for dogs I have fostered. Doc takes great care of my fosters even though they most likely won't be regular patients. He has even had one of his assistants call and check on fosters. Also, his staff is very caring and dedicated to the well being of all the fur babies that come through the office. The only reason I would take one of my pets anywhere else is an after hour emergency. \r\n

    Pros

Works very well with Rescue groups

    Cons

    No after hour care

There are veterinarians who care more about profit than the welfare of animals. Dr. Ross McKinlay is not one of them. He and his staff show genuine concern for their patients and the owners who bring them in. Dr. McKinley and his new partner, Dr. Fulton, take the time to explain what they see going on with your pet and will discuss the various treatment options available. They try to be flexible and work with their clients. The support staff is equally as dedicated and are pleasant and kind to the public. \n\nThe Animal Clinic of Madison-Mayodan has quietly helped to get many abandoned and stray animals adopted. They have a display cage in the waiting room which usually holds a kitten or cat in need of a home. This is something the practice chooses to do on its own as there is no incentive or profit involved. \n\nI have found the fees charged at this practice to be in line with other practices in the area. The only caveat I have has to do with the waiting area. It is very small and it can be hard to keep your pet from coming into contact with other pets. Since the intake door is directly after the seating, all animals must pass through the waiting room to enter or exit the exam rooms. However, the staff has chosen to sacrifice space in the waiting room/reception area in order to house adoptable animals out in the public eye.For that cause, I will certainly deal with the smaller waiting area.

    Cons
