The shelter is run by the police department. No offense but the police have other things on their plate and know very little about how to run a shelter. \nThe shelter was recently criticized for putting down a dog three hours after it was surrender. The owner of the dog had changed his mined and came back for his dog only to fined out they had put it down. Their attitude about what happened was cold and very indifferent.

    Pros

There are a few people who know what their doing. It is clean. But the receptionist is bad.

    Cons

The shelter is run by the police department. They really don't have the time or the resources to handle the shelter.

As a neighboring county, we are working agressively in trying to deal with overpopulation. We are trying to get our s/n program reaching throughout the county. I hope that your shelter is also working to deal with the overpopulation issues that are so prevalent throughout this area.
