General Description
Neomycin is given to pets to treat and prevent bacteria in the intestines. It is often given before surgery of the intestines. It also kills bacteria that produce ammonia, lowering these ammonia levels and treating a disorder called hepatic encephalopathy.

Neomycin works by interfering with bacteria’s ability to produce protein and grow.

Missed Dose?
If you miss a dose, give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give your pet two doses at once.
