Two Sick Puppies Walk Into Human Hospital, Wait In Lobby

Two sick puppies found their way into a human hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, and proceeded to wait in the lobby with the other patients.

According to a Kiii News report, Dr. Jim Cato and his hospital staff treated the emaciated pups to a little TLC. When the news team arrived, one was cuddled up comfortably under a secretary's desk.

Dr. Cato then located a spot for them at the Gulf Coast Humane Society, as long as someone was able to drive them over. The station's news van graciously volunteered to do so, while capturing the whole effort on video.

I was wondering why until they find a home can they not stay together and be happier and they can snuggle with their brother/sister or friend. Anytime I see two animals on a pet show, they must separate them...I dont understand, if anyone cares about animals so much then they would keep them together until someone scoops up both or not until one is adopted. If they walked in to the clinic together they must think of each other as part of a pack. I feel their pain looking at each next to each other and not being able to snuggle with their friend. They are confused enough they come in together and the people who are supposed to be helping and caring for them separates them and stick them in a cage. Confusing. ok I ranted enough thank you for letting me spout off. I wish nothing but the best for those two little cuties.

While I agree that the puppies should stay together until adopted, I am confused at what your rant is here. There is nothing in the article that says the puppies were being split up. It did say one was sleeping under a desk, but that doesn't mean the other one wasn't being loved on at the time or getting his/her medical treatment. Humane Societys and such almost always keep puppies together because it cuts down on cage usage and gives them more room for other animals in need. I am very happy this doctor DID show some compassion and treated the animals and found a humane society that could take them. A lot of others would have just called animal control and put them back outside. This doctor is the kind of person I want treating me if I get sick that is for sure!

Actually I have to agree, these pups were shown in two diff cages no matter the excuse they were apparently upset about just watch your video again. and they should be adopted out Together. How would you like to survive with a close friend the dregs of street life and malnutrition, only to, after establishing a close bond, be separated. not cool!

I tracked this video down on Youtube.com because it is not available on here anymore. I have to say, this act of seperating them MAY have one been a TEMP kind of thing. Still the love was shining through those two animals and we humans could take a lesson learned by them.
