First it was the wildly successful Grumpy Cat internet meme, then came the Facebook page, then Grumpy Cat hired attorneys (or at least her people did) and filed for trademark and copyright protection; next came the Grumpy Cat movie announcement.
Of course, what’s only natural to follow all of that is Grumpy Cat’s own brand of coffee.
Yes, you heard that right, the Grumpy Cat brand of coffee called Grumpy Cat Grumppuccino will be available for sale this Wednesday, August 7, according to the website.
The coffee will be available in mocha, vanilla, and coffee with a slogan of “It’s awfully good.”
Grumpy Cat rose to fame by oftentimes responding to others in her memes with a sarcastic, “good.” So, is the coffee really awfully good, or is that sarcasm we detect?
The Grumpy Cat empire doesn’t show any signs of slowing — the Facebook page has now grown to over 1.1 million — but why are they calling it Grumppuccino and not Cattuccino?
I’m a big fan of coffee, I love a good cappuccino – or Frappuccino (frozen coffee drink) in the summer – any time, but I’m not sure about Grumppuccino.
However, I think this is just as bizarre as the beer for dogs.
