Giving cats medicine is never an easy task, and it’s quite a thankless job.

After having to administer eardrops in his cat’s ears for two weeks to treat a painful ear infection, his owner felt like it had affected his relationship with his cat. So the cat’s owner, Billy Browne, decided that a grand gesture to show his love was in order.

Billy Browne explains in the text underneath his YouTube video, “He began to resent me due to painful ear drops to fix an infection. I would return from work and he would run from me! Now the ears are better I wanted to do something to show my gratitude for his putting up with my torture.”

To help repair the strained relationship, he decided to construct a giant cardboard cat castle for his cat to play in. He says, “Rufus loves boxes as all cats do so this is what I made for him.”

Rufus is one lucky cat for having such a doting, thoughtful and creative cat parent!
