O’Neal’s Feeders Supply Recalls Arrow Brand Dog Food

O’Neal’s Feeders Supply, Inc. has voluntarily recalled its dry Arrow Brand Dog Food. It was found to contain higher than the acceptable levels of aflatoxin in the corn used in the product.


Aflatoxin is a naturally occurring mold by-product yhat can cause sluggishness, lethargy, reluctance to eat, vomiting, yellowish tint to the eyes or gums, and diarrhea. Pets who have consumed any affected products and exhibit these symptoms should be seen by a veterinarian.

The affected products are:

  • ARROWBRAND 21% Dog Chunks SKU #807 40 lb. bag
  • ARROWBRAND Super Proeaux Dog Food SKU #812 40 lb. bag
  • ARROWBRAND Professional Formula Dog Food SKU #814 50 lb. bag


These products were manufactured between December 1, 2010, and December 1, 2011. The packaging codes on the recalled items are between 4K0341 and 4K0365, and 4K1001 to 4K1325.


These affected products were distributed in Louisiana and Texas. Consumers holding an affected product are urged to return it for a full refund. Retailers have been instructed to remove any affected items from their shelves.

No adverse health effects related to these products have been reported; this recall is entirely voluntary.
