Wellness Issues Recall for Batch of Dry Dog Food

By Vladimir Negron    November 01, 2012 / (3) comments

Wellness, a pet food manufacturer, has issued a recall for a batch of their 12lb Small Breed Adult Health Dry Dog Food due to possible issues with elevated moisture levels.

According to the recall announcement, which was made via the Wellness Facebook page on Tuesday, " a small amount of our 12lb Small Breed Adult Health Dry Dog Food with the 'Best By' date of August 18, 2013… found to be higher in moisture than our recipe calls for." The Facebook post goes on to state that the high moisture may cause food to mold before its expiration date.

Pet owners who have purchased products affected by this recall may contact Wellness at (800) 225-0904 from 8 AM – 5 PM for a replacement. You may also reach the Wellness consumer affairs team via e-mail at [email protected].
