Premier Pet Products has announced a recall of their Gentle Leader Headcollars due to reports of defects in some specific styles of headcollars. The recall affects headcollars that were sold from August 2011 – May 2012.

The defect involves the quick release neck strap buckle, which has been reported to have unintentionally released while in use. While not all Gentle Leader Headcollars have been found to be defective, Premier is advising that all Gentle Leader Headcollars purchased during and prior to the above dates be inspected for defects and returned to the company for a replacement if defects are found.

For questions or to find out more about exchanging your Gentle Leader Headcollar, you can e-mail Premier Pet Products at info@premier.com, or call them directly at the following numbers:

For wholesale customers/businesses: 800-933-5595; press 1 for sales

For end consumers/pet owners: 800-933-5595; press 2 for customer care
