UPDATE: Mars Petcare has announced an expansion of the voluntary recall. The recall still affects 22 bags shipped to Dollar General across four U.S. states, but it now is being expanded to 55-pound bags of PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition dry dog food products sold in Sam's Club in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. The following recall information has been updated to reflect this change.

The recall is limited to 22 bags that were sold in Dollar General Stores in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, between the dates of August 18-25. The 55-lb bags were sold in Sam's Club locations in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio between the dates of August 14-30. If you are one of the customers who purchased this product, do not feed it to your pet. Mars Petcare is recommending that customers either discard the remainder of the food, or return the bag of food to the Dollar General Store or Sam's Club it was purchased at for a full refund or replacement.

  • I fed my dogs. Purina ONE
    10/01/2014 11:12pm

Purina ONE SmartBlend Vibrant Maturity, 7+ Senior Formula Dog Food is what I fed my dogs. One started vomiting pools of blood and the other also started vomiting. After spending almost 400 dollars at the Vets to save my dogs life, we found her stomach was very burned. She is now on meds to heal her stomach. We will not feed our dogs anymore of Purina foods like this.
