'Giant George' is the New 'World's Tallest Dog'

Move over, Titan. There's a new giant in town. “Giant George,” a blue Great Dane from Tucson, Arizona, was named the “World's Tallest Dog” by Guinness World Records on Monday.

 

Measuring in at 3 feet 7 inches from paw to shoulder (and 7 feet 3 inches from nose to tail), George inched out the previous record holder, a white Great Dane named Titan, by almost an inch to claim the crown. But his big day didn't end there. After also being awarded the distinction of “Tallest Dog Ever” by Guinness, George and his owner, David Nasser, were invited to The Oprah Winfrey Show.

 

Talk about the best day … ever! Oh, let's not forget George gets to sleep it all off in his own queen-size bed. You know, the one he got after he outgrew the twin.
