Daisy Duke is a 9 month old Border Collie who is an active, high energy gal who is looking for that home that appreciates a true Border Collie spirit. Typically herding dogs are not for those who have not had dog experience and aren't engaged in athletic activities already. (We know lots of folks out there with New Year's resolutions to start being more active, but with this breed you need to already be engaged in it) Daisy Duke is an option to go to the dog park, join another dog in the home, go to doggy day care or be join others on doggy dates. This girl is social and has been since she was a puppy.
Daisy Duke was turned into our rescue when her parents were forced to down size to an apartment and the life in a crate and an apartment was deemed not in her best interest. She does fabulously in a crate but her parents felt like while they were at work all day she needed a home where she could run and play. She is very sweet and outgoing. This is a true lover girl. She would gladly knock over the youngest of ones but then she'd lick them! She is so sweet. But our girl will be searching for that home that has older kids who can also engage her in play but won't be overwhelmed by her.
Though we love our brand new dogs owners (which includes anyone who hasn't had a dog as an adult on their own; or hasn't had a dog in the last 10 years) but this girl will be searching for a more experienced type of home. Get ready to have some fun with her!
