An adotable dog in Furlong, PA
This little girl is Piper, a little shih tzu pekingese munchkin. She has lived 6 years in a cage at an Amish puppy mill and used for breeding. We were told that she is a shih tzu but she has signs of peke in her. Piper is new out of the mill and a little skittish but coming around very quickly. She wags her tail all the time and loves to play with another little tzu who came in with her from the mill. She is learning to eat treats and wet food and to play with other dogs. Being use to the confinement of a cage, Piper will need to learn to use puppy pads and to go outside to do her business. She will need a patient, loving family to help with her transition and to learn that she is now safe and will no longer be neglected. Piper would do best with having another small dog to cuddle with. Mill dogs live in the confines of small cages with other dogs and most seem to need the companionship of other dogs. A fenced in yard would be a plus. Picture of Sara and Piper, the other little girl who came in from the mill with her. They seem bonded and it would be wonderful if they could go to the same forever home, but not necessary.
