Basset Hound, Mix

An adotable dog in Philadelphia, PA

  • Young
  • Medium
  • Female

Penelope has the look of a beagle and a basset hound all in one. Her body is long, but her ears are short! One look into her sad eyes and you know she wants to come home with you. She's comfortable with other dogs, although she may have some mild food possessiveness that can be solved by training. For that reason we think she shouldn't be place in a home with children under 5. Penelope should not live with cats. Name: Penelope Breed: Beagle/basset mix (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label) Age: 1-2 years old Weight: 22 pounds Reason for surrender to shelter: Penelope was found as a stray. If you are interested in meeting Penelope, please email [email protected] for an application.
