Golden Retriever

An adotable dog in Lancaster, PA

  • Senior
  • Large
  • Male

Do you feel old? Rusty sure doesn't, despite his 8 years and a little pudge! Age has only added wonderful house manners to this pup, he's a gentleman & would love to shake your hand! He's great on a leash too & enjoys a daily walk. Rusty loves tug & fetch, he'll drop a toy & wait for it to be thrown! He goes with the flow of the house & settles down to couch potato when everyone else does too. He really wants to be with his people & be part of a family. Rusty needs to go to a home without any small furry animals, including cats & small dogs.
Since Rusty was an owner surrender, we know some of his background as well. This is what the prior owner has said about him:

Rusty does very well with medium to large breeds but not so well with small animals, including dogs. He would often catch groundhogs and dig moles right our of the ground in our South Jersey yard.
We had cats when he was young, however he has not been exposed to them for several years.
Rusty will be 8 on November. He is very well mannered and obedient. He walks well and runs fairly well. Not too long or too fast. He is a marvelous dog, and a wonderful part of our family. He will be missed. If there were a way to keep him, we surely would.
We require an application to be completed prior to meeting our foster animals. All of our dogs are fostered within private homes, so visitations are scheduled. We Are Not A Shelter.

Visit http://www.pntcr.com/petfinder to Complete an Online Adoption Application!

We will be in touch shortly after receiving your application to arrange a meet and greet! Our foster dogs are very loved and considered part of our family when in foster care. So we make sure all of our dogs are fully vetted with age appropriate vaccinations, as well as being spayed or neutered, prior to adoption.
