Pumpkin 7/8/14 update
Great Pyrenees, Mix
An adotable dog in Mountain Home, AR
8/5/14: Pumpkin continues to make herself at home. She does still need a lot of time to become totally trusting.
Pumpkin and the other 7 that came feral will not be adopted into a city environment. No sirens, no large amounts of traffic. They can only go to a home in a rural setting.
7/8/14: A tremendous breakthrough this week. Pumpkin is venturing into the house and making herself comfortable. She has bonded with Moses who is very social. She is still uncertain about people, but this has been a major step.
12/25/13: Pumpkin is doing well in her socialization process, only she uses Cotton as her security blanket.
10/12/13: Pumpkin really wants to trust. she is timid but once reached, she will settle in and enjoy being petted. Of the 4, she should socialize the most quickly.
9/8/13: A bit shy but starting to become social. She has a lot of potential to be a very friendly girl. Only been here a week. She is from the same liter as Emo, Patty and Fraz. About 1 year old.
I will take applications but Pumpkin will not be ready for adoption until she is socialized (unless the adopter has extensive dog behaviorist experience). This process may take us into the early part of 2014 but she will be a dog worth waiting for.
Ozark Dogs Rescue only adopts to companion homes where the dog will have inside privileges. A 6' fence is usually required but there are exceptions. Adoption donation for Pumpkin is $350, however, our primary goal is to get the very best home for each dog. .
