An adotable dog in Millville, NJ
Rani is a four year old black female. She ran 50 races at Orange Park and Mobile Greyhound Park. She has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. This tiny girl is shy and needs a quiet environment with another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, to follow around and learn how to become a pet. It takes her some time to warm up to people and it happens faster if she has another dog to follow. Due to her reserved and shy nature, we will only place her with older kids (13+). Rani would do best with a fenced in yard so she can stretch her legs without being stressed. She enjoys eating treats, but she has not taken any from our volunteer's hands. When you approach her, she will go down to the ground in a submissive manner. She has not started to play with toys yet. In the playroom Rani defers to the other greyhounds. We will not place her with an alpha dog, as she will let them pick on her. Rani would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack with experienced dog owners. She just needs a forever family that will give her time to adjust.
