Polly Wonderful Jogging Partner, Loving, Good with children

American Bulldog, Mix

An adotable dog in Woodbury, NJ

  • Young
  • Medium
  • Female

Polly is a 2-3 yr old terrier mix and would make a wonderful family dog. Polly is ready for her forever home! She is great with kids, and wants to play with every dog she sees. She doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body, but should not live with cats. She plays like a puppy and would do very well in a home with another young, playful dog. She loves being outside, so she'd absolutely love to have a secure fenced in yard in her new home. She sure can jump though, so 6 ft fence ft. fence preferred. If you could get her interested in a Frisbee, she'd be a champ on an agility course! She currently lives in a foster home with two other dogs and a 2 year old girl. She gets along famously with her human foster sister and makes it a point to cuddle with her before bedtime. Polly is house trained, crate trained and is very relaxed and laid back in the home. She is trained as a running dog and can run 4 miles but would also be happy with a nice long walk. Polly spent almost 10 months in a shelter before going to her foster home so she's still working on her manners outside, specifically with squirrels. She walks with ease on a leash but those pesky squirrels make her quite excited. Polly's foster family thinks she's an absolute delight and know she'll be a great addition to a family.

WJVA is an all volunteer rescue. Our animals are rescued from crowded shelters and are in foster homes or in boarding kennels. We depend on donations to save the lives of homeless animals. All dogs are up to date with rabies and distemper vaccines, neutered or spayed, wormed, Heartworm tested, and receive HW and Flea prevention treatment. All dogs are microchipped. We also treat all medical issues that any of the dogs may have upon rescue.
