Rocky is an active pup

Alaskan Malamute

An adotable dog in New Castle, DE

  • Baby
  • Large
  • Male

Rocky was born Dec 2012, and was owner released when they could no longer take care of him. He may need to be the only pet in the household and obedience training with a positive reinforcement trainer is a requirement of his adoption. Typical Malamute, Rocky cannot live with other male dogs, nor small pets of either gender. A sweet boy, Rocky will grow to be about 90 lbs. He is food aggressive, and he is responding well to training.

If you are interested in adopting, please email MalRescueDE@gmail.com for an application. Once your application is processed, a home visit is required. There is an adoption fee of $250 for each adult dog. Our dogs are healthy, spayed or neutered, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. Unfortunately rescues don't have the ability to hold dogs for adopters. Dogs are adopted to approved adopters on a first come, first serve basis. Our goal is to get a dog adopted to a forever home so that we can then help another one. If you are interested in one of our dogs, the first step is to request an application, which is typically sent to you the same day you have emailed your request. We process your application the day it is received. The next step is a home visit, and then you will be invited to meet the dogs. While we represent the State of Delaware, the majority of AMROD’s dogs are fostered in west-central Virginia. Contact preference is by email, malrescuede@gmail.com, rather than by phone. We appreciate you considering an AMROD dog!
