LUCINDA "Lucy"

Pit Bull Terrier, Mix

An adotable dog in Millerstown, PA

  • Young
  • Medium
  • Female

Hello. I am Lucinda or LUCY, as they call me. I was found running along the COLD, snowy road. I had a badly chapped/frost bitten nose and feet. My tail and ears were also chapped. When I was rescued, I slept for the first 2 days and had to be carried outside to do my business. My feet hurt and I was very tired. I was not liking the cold either. BUT I have seen the vet, been spayed and had all my vaccinations. My feet are better and so is everything else, including my spirits. I feel GOOD! I am getting playful and I am now happy to take short walks outside. I LOVE people. I will crawl right up on your lap and snuggle. I also love kitty cats! They sleep with me and I play with them. I am not sure though WHY they run away when I thump them on the head. I AM just playing. BUT they always come back and curl up with me during nap times! I am now friends with all the other dogs that live here in the foster house. Little to big. I like the little one named Kimmie the best. We are great friends! I had a few accidents when I first got here but I now know the schedule and the people here are nice and they know that when I make this funny, little pig squeal noise it means it is time for a walk! I have them trained pretty good now. I have the run of the house too and I use the pet door like a big girl! They tell me I am a very good, sweet girl. I am not real big, only 40 lbs. A pretty, red-brown color. I am told I would be a couch potato if left to be. I am not sure I want to be a potato but the couch part sounds PRETTY nice!!! So if you have a couch and want a snuggle partner, someone to take short walks with (at least until the weather is nice and warm please) you found your girl!!! Give me a call soon, OK?

Foster parents note: Lucy's Friend Kimmie has been adopted and she now has a new buddy, Amy but do VERY well with all the other dogs. IF egged on by the other dogs she will chase after the cats if they run but does not hurt them. She has pinned them to the ground but wants to play. She is getting better with longer walks and I do walk her off leash in the wood. She will come back when called if she wonders to far ahead. Lucy loves kids and is good with them. though she is a rough and tumble sure of a girl and will jump up and knock over the little ones. Lucy is a great girl and a loving dog. She will crate and have quiet time without a fuse when asked to do so.
