Hi!! I am known here at the Rescue as Cody 2, as there is another Cody here already and he's one of my buddies, but he was here first. Anyway here is a bit about me: I grew up around a cat and it was my friend. I'm told that I am more beagle than terrier. I do not really get along great with any other terrier type dogs though but the beagle ones are great! I was not really socialized much so I was a bit shy at first but I'm TRYING to come out of my shell! I'm learning to play with the others and NOT do the submissive peeing thing like I had been. How embarrassing is that? I am full of energy but not over the top. Just right for a dog like myself that is around 3 years old. I do like to play ball but do not understand why they throw the ball for me but then want it back right away! What's up with that? Didn't they JUST give it to me? I am trying to learn their weird game anyway, seems to make them happy. I love to be my person's one and only, sit on your lap for hours to get lovins! I also love walks. There is so much to see, smell and do. I like to get there a lot faster than the person on the other end of that leash. They have NO clue what they are missing! Have to hurry before it gets away, ya know? SO I am also trying to slow my pace a bit and be patient. They say I am getting the hang of it. I just think they are missing the point, really. I will happily go into my crate at night to sleep. I like my own room. A guy has to have his own space once in awhile. I do have manners and I try very hard not to make a fuss, mess or give anyone any trouble. BUT I can be barky when it comes to cars, bikes and people running. I JUST want to say "HEY, what's going on and were are you going and is it a cool place?" I am feisty but love my person/people! I am easy to get along with and would just love to become your friend and companion. What more could you want! So please, if you are looking for a small friend that won't be a bother, give us a call and we can meet! Looking forward to it!
