Coco

Boston Terrier
Rat Terrier, Mix

An adotable dog in CASTRO VALLEY, CA

  • Adult
  • Small
  • Male

Coco (affectionately known as Cocopuff) was pulled from the Oakland City Shelter when he was still just a puppy. He had a bad case of demodex mange and would have been euthanized if Dusty Paws hadn't taken him in. We treated this little guy for the mange, then found him a great home and all was well. However, a year and a half ago we were called by the owners who didn’t know what to do because their son had become extremely allergic to him. Of course, we said bring him back to us, and with heavy hearts they did.

Since then we have taken Coco to adoption events and other showings, but for some reason he has still not found his new home. We don't understand, as he is a delightful, beautiful terrier mix (possibly Boston Terrier and Rat Terrier). He is definitely a terrier, and if you have ever had a terrier you know how they are. He is happy, outgoing, and playful. Coco adores attention and will let you know if he thinks he’s not getting enough. His youth was spent with children, so he is OK with kids. He loves other dogs, but will chase any cats that he sees (although seems to love kittens!) Coco is house-trained. He weighs about 18 lbs. He is already neutered and micro-chipped. A home with another dog and older children would work very well for this little guy.
