American Staffordshire Terrier
An adotable dog in Thorofare, NJ
"Holy ears!" is usually the first thing people say when they meet Playboy (hence his name)! This handsome guy is about 3 years old and came to us from a local shelter where he'd been found as a stray. Playboy now lives in a foster home while he waits for an adopter to fall in love with him. He gets along wonderfully with all people and lives with a couple other dogs in his foster home as well. He is totally house broken and crate trained and well very behaved. Playboy attends weekly training classes to stay sharp on his obedience - he knows sit, down, stay, come, shake, and heel and will learn just about anything for a treat!
Some of his favorite things to do include playing in the yard (so if you have a fenced yard for him that's a plus), sunning himself on the deck, chasing after squeaky toys, going for walks, and snuggling with his people. He is one of the most affectionate, sweet, loving dogs there is. Playboy loves to be loved. You can usually find him at your side leaning in to you to be pet watching you with his sweet eyes.
Playboy is great in the car and likes going to adoption events and meeting new people. He's very easy going and happy to be with you no matter what you're doing. If you'd be interested in finding out more about him, please contact his foster mom Emily at 609-560-1126 or email@example.com.
In order to adopt one of our dogs, you will need to first fill out an adoption application. This allows us to get to know you, your family, and any current animals you may already have. We use your application and follow up phone call to determine which one of our dogs would best suit you.
If we do not have an animal that meets what you are looking for, let us know! We would be happy to point you in the right direction to other rescues and shelters who may have what you're looking for.
Once your application is approved, we will arrange for a home check and a sleepover. We feel that it is very important for adopters to take their potential animal on a sleepover, whether it's just for one night or for a few days, to make sure that that animal truly will be a good match. We'd much rather you realize the animal might not be the right one before you finalize the adoption.
We also require that dogs adopted under 2 years of age go through some type of training with their new owners within 6 months of adoption. We believe that a little bit of training will help strengthen the bond between owner and dog and also lessen the chance of a returned adoption.
For puppies under 6 months old, there is a $300 adoption fee. For dogs older than 6 months, there is a $250 adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, given all requires vaccinations, and micro-chipped before going home.
Please be aware that All They Need is Love Animal Rescue reserves the right to approve or deny any application for any reason. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the animal you are interested in.
