An adotable cat in Atlanta, GA
This pretty Oci-mix boy, Mark, and all his siblings, were rescued from an apartment complex in Norcross when they were small. Mark is the last one of all the siblings to find a forever home, and he's a little down in the dumps because he can't imagine why his forever family hasn't come to take him home! After all, he's very well behaved, grooms himself every day, shares his toys, and even has markings just like the most fearsome jungle cats!
Even though he may look like an ocelot on the prowl, this five month old is more a lover than a fighter. Markie Mark has been a member of two loving foster families, and you can tell by the way he welcomes your attention, trustingly places his head in your palm for ear rubs, and flips over to let you pet his pretty spotty tummy that people are his friends. This sweet boy loves human attention and gets along well with other animals, including dogs. He is used to being among other animals and finds his way easily in a group, joining in with games and vying for the top spot on the adoption center cat tree. Even though he functions well socially, Markie also is laid back enough to self-entertain well.
Because of that, we think that he would be fine joining an existing animal family, but could also function well as the only cat if he is offered a lot of human interaction. Markie is used to being held by his foster family, and could easily be socialized into a lap cat.
Little man Mark has deep hazel eyes, with a prominent brown bark 'M' on his forehead. His face is broad at the temples, and narrows to a toasty, golden brown soft muzzle and long white whiskers. He still hasn't quite grown into his ears - they are large and perk up at the slightest noise - and are guaranteed to make you smile. He has a brown-peach nose, and his striking fur is made up of pretty cafe-au-lait and deep brown alternating stripes. It's easy to imagine Mark standing still in the shadows, invisible because of his natural coloring.
Markie can't wait to meet you and hopes that you come by the Howell Mill& I-75 PetSmart adoption center to say hello! You can always apply to adopt Markie Mark online, too. If you'd like to set up a playdate, just drop us a note at email@example.com.
