Fluffy is a drop-dead-gorgeous Himalayan Snowshoe with lynx-point (tabby) markings and the obligatory white mittens. Her previous family had to send her to us because they were no longer able to afford a pet; they love her and miss her dearly. Fluffy has no known medical or behavioral issues. -- When coming to our rescue, Fluffy was fully vetted (distemper vaccines, rabies vaccine, exam, FIV/FeLV test to confirm nonexistence of feline aids and feline leukemia infection), and given an ID microchip to assist in finding home should this kitty ever accidentally get out the house. She had been previously spayed. -- Fluffy is very affectionate and loving with people. While she hates other animals, she does well with children, including young ones, because her previous family included kids under the age of five. No other pets for her, please, but Fluffy will reward you with her total devotion, and she has a heart big enough to count for several pets :-). Her favorite activities: snuggling with people, and unraveling toilet paper.-- Please note that Himalayan and Persian cats are as pretty as they are labor-intensive. These cats require daily grooming, including combing of the entire body and gentle wiping of the eyes. Many of these cats were discarded by previous owners due to the amount of care they need... so please, please consider carefully whether you will make this daily routine part of your life for the rest of this cat's life... or whether a domestic shorthair or mediumhair kitty might be a better match for you and your family. The bad news is that, in spite of specialty food, Fluffy will throw up a hairball here and there, after having ingested some of her very full and dense coat while bathing herself; the good news is that she loves coming and people's attention. -- Persians and Himalayans are a great companion for those who love to touch and pet and scratch ears and manually share affection... but not for people easily distracted when the newness of the pet wears off.
