Sphynx (hairless cat)

An adotable cat in Garden City, MI

  • Adult
  • Small
  • Female

Honey is a 4 year old, female Tortie Sphynx, that had to be given up by her former owner because they could no longer care for her. Although Honey likes to go off and find a nice quiet place to sleep, she also very loving and affectionate. She is currently living in a home with four other dogs and her brother Oliver. Although they lived together all of her life, she is not dependent on him. Honey likes to find a warm sunny place to sleep and nestle up next to you while you are sleeping at night. She is warm and gently, tiny kitty that only weighs six pounds.

Since Honey's previous owner was in bad health, Honey did not get the much needed grooming she needed. Therefore it took a bit for her new foster Mom to get her back to tip top grooming that she needed. Honey also has to go in for a much needed teeth cleaning, which we will also be paying for and seeking to do soon. Honey is not spayed at this time, however we are looking into doing so, once we know she is in tip top shape to do so. She is current on all her vaccines and is looking and feeling so much better now that she has had some proper grooming.

Because Honey is hairless, she will require a home willing to take extra care of her. Sphynx cats require weekly bathing, ear cleaning, nail cleaning and clippings. They need to stay indoors and have a warm place to sleep. Some nice clothing to help keep them warm is also a good idea. They require a lot more care then your typical cat, therefore expect some work on grooming if you are considering adopting a Sphynx.

The fee for Honey is $800.00, which will include her spay, vaccines and a good teeth cleaning with the vet. If you are interested in adopting Honey, please complete our application here: http://www.providingforpaws.org/adoption-and-foster-forms.html
