Domestic Short Hair

An adotable cat in Philadelphia, PA

  • Adult
  • Medium
  • Female

Penelope is very sweet, active, gentle, and affectionate. She loves
stimulation and would do well in a home with another friendly cat to play
with. She was originally brought to PAWS after being rescued along with
her litter of kittens, who have all been adopted. She is slow to warm up
to new people, but will eventually love to cuddle and sit on your lap once
you gain her trust. She also loves being pet and having her face and belly
rubbed. She does best with consistent feedings and is fastidious about her
litter, so she likes a big box with lots of space to dig.

She may have epilepsy, so she currently takes phenobarbital(dissolved in
food) twice a day to prevent seizures. This medicine is inexpensive and
she is worth the effort! She has been seizure-free since May 2013.
