An adotable cat in Woodbury, NJ
Come see me at the Deptford Petsmart Adoption Center.
Newton is shy at first, but once he knows that he can trust you, he will become your best bud (as shown in the video, which was taken only 2 weeks after being placed in his new foster home!) He is a healthy and beautiful boy that LOVES cat treats and wet food. He did test FIV+, which means his immune system may be a bit weaker then other kitties (otherwise, he will live a normal life) Newton is a little scared of dominant-type of cats, but is a very good friend to a low-key feline (like his;girlfriend; in the video, who happens to be a submissive little girl, purrfect fit.) He needs a quiet home where he can learn to trust humans again. He is on prescription urinary food.
To learn more about FIV, here is a very good article:http://www.examiner.com/article/fiv-cats-5-facts-you-need-to-know
Newton's Rescue Story Rescue; Date: 12/1/12: Newton showed up in November 2012 in a wooded lot with a large, bleeding wound around his neck. The initial attempts to trap him failed as he outsmarted volunteers! He then disappeared, and we worried that he passed away. But a month later, when at the same location trying to catch a DIFFERENT CAT, Newton showed up in a humane trap. Our friends at AWA in Voorhees kindly treated his wounds and neutered him, and then he was placed in foster care with Furrever Friends.
