My name is Nutmeg and life for me wasn’t always good. My foster family found me hanging out on an Applebee's parking lot. I ran up and rubbed all over their legs, purring my heart out. I let them pick me up and that’s when they knew if they left me there I would die. My dull, flea-infested coat was hiding a skinny bag of bones—all my ribs and my spine were showing. If they didn’t take me home I would have starved. For the first week all I did was eat and sleep. That was then and this is now. My foster mom says I’m chubby like a woodchuck (she has a bunch of nicknames for me)! But that doesn’t slow me down. I am a go-getter kind of girl. I like my toys, especially balls and anything I can bat around or chase, like those stick things with feathers. I like catnip too. I’m very athletic and like to explore—as long as it’s indoors. My foster mom says I have personality plus and I make her laugh with my antics. She says I put the nut in Nutmeg. I will slide across the floor and perform amazing leaps and flips. I might be a bit too rambunctious for young children, but I’m purrfect for someone who wants a kitty that really likes to play and be wherever you are. I like to play with my foster brother and chase him. I would probably like to live with another kitty as long as he/she likes to play (or doesn’t mind being pestered). I’m really getting the hang of the lush life of an indoor cat and growing more affectionate every day. I purr a lot and love to rub on you and get head and chin scratches. I’m good about using my litter box and I have a scratching thing that I every day. Would you please make room in your home (and heart) for me and let me put a little spice into your life?
