Oh goodness, hello! Are you here to see me? Um, well OK. Could I maybe sniff your hand first? Oh thank you - would you pet my head now? Purrrrrrrrr... ...oh I'm so rude - my name is Desmond. And you'll forgive me for being a little shy. I've had a bit of a rough time in my young life. I used to live with two other kitties and a dog, and three children, in a very small place. I was happy there, but one day, a man came and told my mommy that she had to 'get rid' of three of us. She was very, very sad but took my sister Penny, my friend Hurley, and I to the shelter. There, we ran into a super nice lady who said that she would find us new homes. We were very lucky - I heard someone say that new kitties brought in by their owners were usually 'put down' right away. Oh, and a little story about my name - our rescuer saved six kitties that day and joked that we were like the Oceanic 6 from the TV show LOST and named us after characters from the show. Now Sawyer, Kate, Juliet, and Hurley have all been adopted and Penny and I are just waiting for our forever homes (which I find hard to believe - have you checked out my gorgeous green eyes?) Do you think you could look after us? I love to be loved but am a little slow to trust new people - much like my namesake from the TV. Penny on the other hand is very outgoing and likes to find a spot on the nearest lap. We need a special person to be our new mommy or daddy because we have been together our whole and entire four years. and need to be adopted together too.
We are about four years old, litter box trained, spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV negative, and up to date on all our shots. Click to inquire about us or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can check out my sweet sister Penny here: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/21702142
