I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane
Good morning sunshine! I started my morning bright and early with a 3k run around the park, followed up by an hour of Doga. That's what happens when you eat right. Will I ever be able to stop thanking Dr. Spector and the other cool people at Halo for setting me on this path? Mais non!
I was feeling bright and confident, ready to get the day started, when I suddenly got to thinking that Happa and I still had to make our travel arrangements to Tonga (speaking of Tonga, I still haven't found a new swim suit either, but that's another story), where we will be meeting Bart on his yacht for a week of festivities and fund-raising. There are only four weeks until we leave, and we don't want to be left with no other transport to the SoPac but a rickety old water tub navigating through shark infested waters. No longer a procrastinator am I!
Why not call Pet Airways? I thought. They are adding flights and routes to their schedule all the time. I know for a fact they will be starting service in and out of South Florida in mid-December, maybe they will have something direct to Tonga, or perhaps Fiji. So I gave them a buzz. Sadly, they haven't started regular service between Miami and the South Pacific. But as luck would have it they are running a special charter for some of Bart's guests, direct from Ft. Lauderdale to Tonga, all first class and red carpet service. Fabulous!!!
With travel arrangements in order, I had the rest of the day to do as I pleased, except that while I was on the phone I noticed that my ear was feeling, well, tickly. Bad news. I knew this feeling. Having blonde locks is good for finding fun, and my long golden ears do frame my face in a very fetching way, but my ears also are prone to “conditions,” let's say.
We must all, in one way or another, play the card that has been dealt to us, and even we who are fabulous have our little conditions. We are just better at hiding them and not complaining out loud. Better to allow the image of perfection to persist than to seem ungrateful.
I check myself in the mirror and nothing looks amiss, thank goodness. And I feel beautiful inside too, like a lovely meadow is in full bloom right inside my belly. Maybe it has something to do with my pre- and probiotic rich diet now. It's like a magic forest of bacteria growing inside me.
But about my ears! I normally keep antifungal and antibacterial medications around so that I can ward off the occasional yeast infections in my ears, but because I have been going the more natural route, I turned to the Halo line this time. They have a perfectly lovely Herbal Ear Wash that is made with chamomile, calendula, and sage in a witch hazel base. It smells divine, and there was no stinging. I thought it would be wise to put my ears up so they could dry properly, so I wrapped a lovely little turban around my head, and looking at myself in the mirror, I tell you, I believe that with the right sunglasses this look could work for the cruise. Très Liz Taylor.
While I was waiting for my ear treatment, I made sure to get a good fix of my Halo Daily Greens and Hip and Joint Supplement -- I want my hips to be in good shape for all the dancing I'll be doing! And speaking of dancing … I have a date with an instructor, so off I go. Que plus tard, mon chéri!
