However, we love her even more for her devotion to animals and their welfare.
"We want a big farm and to just take care of every kind of animal that needs taking care of," she recently told People.
Ellen is funny, smart, and is not afraid to speak her mind -- especially when it comes to our furry friends who can’t.
We all remember the whole Iggy fiasco of 2007, when a puppy she adopted didn’t get along with her cats. Ellen found a new and loving home for the pup, only to discover she’d accidentally violated the terms of the adoption agreement.
If that’s the worst mistake someone makes when it comes to an animal, then, honey, we’ll take it!
But nothing can stop Ellen’s love for animals or her vision of rescuing those who need it and making all their lives better (we have the very same vision). She was even recognized for her hard work at the Global Pet Expo this year, where she won the Annual Excellence in Pet Industry Journalism award.
Last year she bought into Halo, a company that produces healthy, natural, and high quality food for cats and dogs. We’ve used this food on our beloved babies and they absolutely love it! Being that it's human-grade pet food, people can eat it too, but … we have to admit, we haven’t had the pleasure.
On her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she constantly highlights people and groups dedicated to helping animals. And together with Halo, donated $10,000 to Rescue Ink, a rescue group of "tattoo-covered, motorcycle-riding guys that do what it takes to stop animal abuse! (Within the law, of course)."
Don’t you just love it?
We certainly do. And that’s why we think she’s so damned haute!

There are so many that need a good home, and so many people that don't take care of their animals.

I thought it was great when Best Friends brought Georgia, the Michael Vick dog to her show. Living in the area of Best Friends I am close to the situation and I have seen how many of the dogs have earned their "GOOD CANINE
CITIZENSHIP." Thanks to her for helping focus on the pit bull's real personality instead of the bloodthirsty stigma attached to them because of human greed.

I ADORE ELLEN,she shines with love and compassion and so with her indorsement i switched my JD to HALO SPOTS STEW (CHICKEN)and what a change !!! i just hope he continues to thrive on it and live a long and happy life.PS i look forward to 3pm in MD.to watch her show everyday,i laugh so hard or just smile the whole hour..so thank you for that ELLEN

The story on the Kritter Kondo is great. This product is definitely needed for those of us in rescue who save cats but know that they so enjoyed being outside. This product will offer peace and tranquility safely to a cat that loves nature.

Should also be a great help to those who travel with their pets. Either in friends or family homes or motels etc. Maybe for some campsites too.
