Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, or worse, haven’t been reading the Haute or Not? newsletter the past few Wednesdays, you know we've been blogging about Gordi’s transition to a Halo lifestyle.

But along with Gordi's transition diet kit, the truly amazing people at Halo sent us a few items from the Cloud Nine collection, including the Herbal Ear Wash, a particularly uninteresting product that we're now really glad we had on hand.

Being a Lab and living in a haute, steamy climate like we have here in South Florida, Gordi is prone to some really annoying ear infections. One morning late last week, Gordi woke up rubbing her left ear -- the kind of rubbing and scratching that any human who has ever had a fur baby with a developing ear infection has seen.

Sure enough, when we checked inside we could see and smell the trouble brewing. We immediately went to the medicine cabinet to get Gordi’s prescription ear cleaner, but the bottle was empty.

Long story short, which as many you know is not our strong point, we tried the herbal ear wash from Halo. We really liked the fact that it’s all-natural (the one from the vet is not) and it smelled really good too!

We've been monitoring Gordi's progress and after followings the directions on the bottle, we're happy to report the crud is gone and so is the smell. Of course we'll continue checking for signs of infection, but it looks like this all-natural remedy may have done the trick.
