When Paisley first saw the Kritter Kondo, she had this to say: "Sure it’s made for a kitten, but I like it too!"

Paisley, for those of you who don’t know, is our resident horse, and she’s been a little prissy lately because she says she never gets to test anything for Haute or Not?

Sadly, it’s true. We don’t get a lot of equine products submitted for review (hint, hint, horsey product retailers), but is the Kritter Kondo really place to start? Probably not. True, horses are used to being kept in relatively small enclosures relative to their size, but at 2 feet high, 2.5 feet wide, and 5.5 feet long, the Kritter Kondo may be just a tad snug.

Sorry, Paisley, we’re going to let Corsa take this one.

We e-met Lisa, the inventor of Kritter Kondo, early this summer. Inspired by the antics of her two little furry Houdinis, Madi and Abi, the Kritter Kondo was the perfect way Lisa could let them enjoy the fresh air of the outdoors on her patio while keeping them safe and secure.

We’re guessing there were plenty of trials and tribulations before development became reality (there was probably some blood, sweat, and just a few tears as part of this creative journey as well), but it seems it was all worth it. We’ve tried the Kritter Kondo several times, and it works as promised.

Corsa tested it in the meditation garden, at the testing loft, and even for some R&R (and fresh air) outdoors -- all the while the humans were worry-free. Everybody wins! We’ve also taken the Kritter Kondo to the beach a few times, and it’s been a great way to keep the small pups high and dry while the humans and big dogs frolic in the sea.

There was no adjustment period for the fur babies. Partly because they can see everything that’s going on from in there and partly because they don’t feel at all constrained, all the Haute or Not? testers seemed quite content in the Kritter Kondo, right off the bat.

The Kritter Kondo is fairly easy to setup, too. It requires no tools and comes with a durable carrying case. Who wouldn’t love that?

For any cat or small dog parent with an insecure outdoor space, with the Kritter Kondo you’re always ready for the next great adventure. Even better, your fur babies will be comfy and receive all the fresh air and sunshine they need while inside the Kirtter Kondo.

Haute or Not

Hi Joanne, the netting is pretty strong we don't think a kitty or small pup could chew through ... we really don't see a reason you couldn't join two together ... thanks for your questions !!!

Has anyone ever hooked two of these together to make a longer run?

Has anyone ever had a pet chew through the netting?

I don't have cats, but I think this is a great idea, and it would work for bunnies too, and maybe a ferret?

These are GREAT!!! It the perfect way to get fresh air with your cats and keep them safe. There are so many diseases and cats, being prone to abscesses, need to be careful about wounds. I lost one cat to abscesses and it was so horrible. I won't let it happen again. This is just another way of saying "I LOVE YOU" to your kitty. nuzzles to all!

Lisa has developed the "purrfect" product for outdoor-loving kitties! Keeps our cats safe, and keeps our state of mind (worrying about the cats)on a nice peaceful level! Great product!

Prada, my overly pampered and spoiled Persian, loves his Kitty Kondo. He sits by the patio door meowing until I let him out to his Kitty Kondo. I love the Kitty Kondo b/c I know he is safe and enjoying himself. The Kitty Kondo design is great, easy to set up, and having the quality carrying case makes storage during bad weather a breeze. :-)di

Saw the Kritter Kondo at the Pet Show and considered it for my house rabbit. My current crazy wabbit would probably try to chew her way out. However, some of my other rabbits would enjoy the ability to be outside and I would enjoy not having to chase them around the yard!

Works well for one cat but the other thinks we are trying to kill it....but the one cat loves having time outdoors.

We cannot recommend the Kritter Kondo highly enough! The construction quality is first-rate. It sets up in seconds (and packs up just as easily). The carrying case alone should be the price they charge - we think this is a tremendous value. And the folks at manufacturer could not be any nicer.

We live in an area surrounded by patrolling coyotes, hawks and rattlesnakes. To have a cat or small dog wander on their own could be very dangerous. Thanks to the Kritter Kondo, our cat can safely enjoy the outdoors. She loves it!

We can't recommend the Kritter Kondo highly enough! Two thumbs up!

OH my! I love my Kritter Kondo! Where we live there are lots of predators in our backyard. So I had to stay inside while my folks could sun & enjoy the patio. Now I get to go out with them. I have a pretty yellow cushion I can lounge on & food & water too. I love my Kondo! Thanks Lisa!
